Remember Rafa Nadal's loss to Australian Nick Kygrios at Wimbledon in a 4-set match? And remember his crazy 'tattoo'?

19 year old Nick Kygrios, the Aussie - Greek new Tennis superstar had a weird beige right arm length tattoo-like 'thing' throughout his Wimbledon tournament this year.

Surprisingly, as many thought, this is not a tattoo but a medical sports band called Dynamic Tape. The Dynamic Tape website says the highly elastic tape is used to strongly assist or resist movement, facilitate or inhibit and offload tissue through full range of motion. The tape is applied to an injured muscle or tendon and as the muscle or joint lengthens, the tape is stretched to absorb load and reduce the work on the muscles. This results in decreased workload, demand on the muscle and improved tolerance to fatigue.

Interestingly, Sania Mirza, Novak Djokovic, Kim Clijsters, Tim Cahill, Serena Williams have all used this tape during their games, however only Nick Kygrios has made it world famous.
