While this understanding is the most significant it is also the most difficult to bring about. Parents and educators today are struggling to bring this understanding in their children, with little success. It is not surprising that the society is producing individuals with higher IQ but lesser EQ and SQ. Statistics shows that organizations across the world are recruiting employees for “attitude” rather than “qualification” today. They believe “knowledge” can be acquired easily but the right “attitude” is a rarity. It is the earnest attempt of New Dawn Life Skills to develop in the child an awareness of both; herself and of life so that she can forge ahead with right attitude stemming from right foundation : the strength of self-knowledge. The unique factor here in the “Insight” program is that there is no “moralizing” and “preaching” that happens, which most children are naturally disinterested in. The day-long program is packaged in the thoroughly enjoyable, activity-filled sessions. The real learning lies in the real-time debriefings which are woven into the program. Result is that children experientially arrive at “insights” themselves. Needless to say they find the process extremely exciting and an eye-opener. They arrive at “insights” about themselves, about the source of positivity within them, and about ways to handle life’s challenges better.
