"Washing hands can protect you and your loved ones"
To eliminate all traces of the virus on your hands, a quick scrub and a rinse won’t cut it. So, students of DOS were taught step-by-step process for effective handwashing by their facilitator, Ms. Lakshmi through online classes. We request all the parents to follow the process given below.

Step 1: Wet hands with running water
Step 2: Apply enough soap to cover wet hands
Step 3: Scrub all surfaces of the hands – including back of hands, between fingers and under nails – for at least 20 seconds.
Step 4: Rinse thoroughly with running water
Step 5: Dry hands with a clean cloth or single-use towel.

We thank the parents who have shared videos and pics on how effectively their kids were washing hands.

Learning is attained not only with the books you read, the places you go, and the people you meet but also with the challenges you face. We have challenged students of Grade 5 and 6 during online classes, to invent a boat that could move in water. We want to congratulate the students who responded to this challenge with creativity and inventiveness. Kudos to Naveen, Lakshman Siddhartha and Adhiti. .

Necessity is the mother of invention they say. But necessity is also the mother of change. The COVID 19 pandemic did lock us down at home, even out little oaks. But learning and teaching never stops regardless any obstacle. We the oak family feel really proud to introduce Oak Online Ed. Students underwent Dental check up as part of their health check and hygiene control. Specialists from Partha Dental Clinic visited the school and observed the dental hygiene of every child and gave various suggestions and wisdom to maintain healthy strong teeth 💪🏻 🦷😬
