Celebrating 80 Years of Independence at VEDA IIT
VEDA IIT proudly celebrated the 80th Independence Day with great patriotic spirit and enthusiasm.
The celebrations were led by Prof. K. Subbarangaiah, Director & Head, VEDA IIT, who hoisted the National Flag in the presence of VEDA IIT staff, students and others. The ceremony was a meaningful reminder of the sacrifices made by our freedom fighters and the values of freedom, unity, and responsibility that shape our nation.
As we celebrate this historic occasion, let us carry forward the spirit of independence by contributing to the growth, development, and progress of our great nation. Together, let us strive to build a stronger, more innovative, and self-reliant India.

We are delighted to share that on 3rd August 2026, Prof. K. Subbarangaiah, Director & Head, VEDA IIT, attended as the Chief Guest for the Valedictory Ceremony of the Two-Week Industry–Institute Collaborative IEEE Workshop on Hands-on VLSI Chip Designing Technologies, organized by Sreenidhi Institute of Science and Technology (SNIST).
During the session, Prof. Subbarangaiah shared valuable insights into the VLSI industry, emerging trends, and the significance of Electronic Design Automation (EDA) tools in semiconductor design. The session concluded with an engaging interaction, where students enthusiastically discussed career opportunities and industry expectations.

Greetings from VEDA IIT!

VEDA IIT had the privilege of hosting an insightful Guest Lecture on Cyber Security delivered by Dr. Srinivas Katkoori, Professor, Bellini College of AI, Cybersecurity, and Computing, University of South Florida.

The session was presided over by Prof. K. Subbarangaiah, Director & Head, VEDA IIT, and was attended by VEDA faculty members and trainees.

Dr. Katkoori shared valuable insights into various aspects of Cyber Security, including cybersecurity challenges in cyberspace, IC-level security, and the growing threat of malware. The session provided participants with a deeper understanding of securing modern digital and semiconductor systems.

The lecture was followed by an engaging interactive discussion, where trainees actively participated and had their queries addressed by the speaker. It was an enriching learning experience that enhanced their knowledge of emerging cybersecurity concepts and their relevance to the semiconductor industry.

At VEDA IIT, we remain committed to bridging the gap between academia and industry by bringing eminent experts to our campus and equipping our trainees with knowledge of emerging technologies.

VEDA IIT is delighted to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with SRM University-AP on 17th July 2026.

This collaboration marks a significant milestone in strengthening industry–academia partnerships and empowering students through industry-oriented training, internships, and career opportunities in cutting-edge technologies.

The MoU was signed in the presence of the Registrar, University officials, and representatives from VEDA IIT and Prajna Semiconductors Pvt. Ltd.

VEDA IIT hosted Dr. Venkat S. Munukutla, Senior Consultant Pain Physician & Neuromodulation Specialist, for an enlightening guest lecture on Health & Hygiene.
The meeting was presided over by Prof. K. Subbarangaiah, Director & Head, VEDA IIT, and was attended by VEDA faculty members and trainees.
The session covered essential aspects of personal well-being, including personal health, sleep cycle, balanced nutrition, stress management, and communication skills. Dr. Venkat also introduced the SMART and SBAR techniques, highlighting their importance in effective decision-making.
The lecture was followed by an engaging interactive session, during which trainees actively participated and had their queries addressed by the speaker.

We were delighted to host Raghav Vasappanavara, Senior Architect, CDNS Silicon Solutions Group (Cadence), for an insightful guest lecture on Agentic AI Flows.
The session featured an engaging presentation followed by an interactive discussion with VEDA IIT trainees, offering valuable insights into the transformative role of Artificial Intelligence in VLSI design and semiconductor engineering.
