Industry Interaction at VEDA IIT

VEDA IIT had the privilege of hosting Mr. Harish V. Reddy, Senior Principal Engineer at Cadence, Austin, Texas.

He shared valuable insights on Test Engineering, covering key areas such as Automated Test Equipment (ATE), test programming, and critical industry aspects like yield and reliability. His session provided our trainees with a deeper understanding of real-world challenges and industry expectations.

The session was attended by Prof. K. Subbarangaiah, Head & Director of VEDA IIT, Prof. K. Malakondaiah, Director, along with VEDA faculty members and trainees.

VEDA IIT heartily congratulates Subbarangaiah Kopparapu Garu, Director & Head of VEDA IIT, on being honored with the Duddilla Sripada Rao Lifetime Achievement Award on March 02, 2026, at Shilpakala Vedika, Hyderabad, in recognition of his outstanding services to the training of VLSI engineers in India and his unwavering dedication to the semiconductor field.

In a gesture that truly reflects his humility and team spirit, Prof. Subbarangaiah Kopparapu Garu has graciously dedicated this prestigious award to his colleagues and to Dasaradha Gude Garu for their constant support and commitment.

This honor marks not only a significant personal milestone but also a proud moment for the entire VEDA IIT family. We extend our sincere congratulations on this well-deserved recognition and celebrate his continued contributions to technical education and industry advancement.

National Science Day Celebrations at VEDA IIT

VEDA IIT celebrated National Science Day with great enthusiasm and vibrant participation from our trainees and faculty members. The event reflected the true spirit of scientific curiosity, innovation, and knowledge-sharing.

The prizes for winners were presented by Prof. K. Subbarangaiah, Head & Director of VEDA IIT, who appreciated the participants and encouraged them to pursue excellence in the ever-evolving field of science and semiconductor technology.

The highlight of the celebration was an insightful online session by Vidyasagar Ganesan, Senior Director at Advanced Micro Devices (AMD), California, USA. His session provided valuable industry perspectives and inspired our trainees to align their academic foundation with real-world VLSI and semiconductor innovations.

We were also honored to have Deeksh*th Khandavalli, Domain-Agnostic Business Solution Architect | ERP & BPM Strategy | Ex-TCS Director, as a guest speaker. He delivered a thought-provoking session on India’s ancient scientific temper and emphasized how trainees can inculcate those timeless principles of inquiry, logic, and disciplined thinking into their professional and personal lives.

Events like these strengthen our commitment to nurturing future-ready engineers and innovators.

On the occasion of National Science Day, VEDA IIT is organizing a Special Program for its trainees to celebrate the spirit of scientific innovation and excellence.

*Beyond Ballots – College Youth Shaping the Future with SDGs*
(On the occasion of National Voters’ Day 2026)

On the occasion of *National Voters’ Day 2026*, a vibrant and thought-provoking panel discussion titled “*Beyond Ballots – College Youth Shaping the Future with SDGs*” was held at VEDA, IIT, jointly organised by *Lets Vote* and *TSAT*.

The programme was moderated by *Puligadda Raghavendra* , Executive Committee Member, Lets Vote and Board Member, SoCtronics Technologies, who steered the discussions with clarity and purpose.
The panel discussions were co-moderated by *Dr. Amarnath Reddy Manchuri* , CEO, VIRAT IRD Foundation; *Mrs. Preeti* , Lets Vote Volunteer; and *Ms. Tanmayee* , BVRIT, Hyderabad—bringing diverse perspectives from civil society, industry, and youth leadership.

Enthusiastic student participation came from *BVRIT Hyderabad, Vignan Institute of MTS Hyderabad, ANURAG University, and VEDA IIT* , focusing on three key Sustainable Development Goals:
🔹 SDG 3 – Good Health & Well-Being
🔹 SDG 4 – Quality Education
🔹 SDG 9 – Industry, Innovation & Infrastructure

The debate reflected a strong grasp of ground realities, evolving development needs, and the importance of aligning present-day action with long-term national goals. Students articulated practical policy recommendations for the government and stakeholders, reinforcing the role of informed youth in shaping India’s future.

The programme concluded on a meaningful note with the Voter’s Pledge, administered by *Dr. K Subbarangaiah, National Convener, Lets Vote* —reaffirming the values of informed, ethical, and active citizenship.

VEDA IIT had a wonderful Inaugural Session for the new batch of the Training & Internship Program in VLSI Design on December 18, 2025, at VEDA IIT, Hyderabad.
The Chief Guest, Mr. N. Venkatesh, Senior Director, Silicon Labs, shared valuable insights on aligning strong academic foundations with evolving industry requirements and emphasized the need to go beyond tool-centric learning, encouraging trainees to look at the bigger picture and develop a strong system-level perspective in the VLSI domain.

The program was graced by distinguished industry guests Mr. Darvinder Singh, Director, Cadence, and Mr. Vishwanath Linga, Sr. Director, SoCtronics, who addressed the trainees and extended their blessings.

The session began with a warm welcome by Head & Director of VEDA IIT, Prof. K. Subbarangaiah, who, along with the VEDA faculty, welcomed the new batch of trainees and wished them success in their learning journey.
