But over time,
I’ve realised something more fundamental.
It’s not just about slowing down.
It’s about how an experience is designed
once you do.
Because the moment you remove urgency,
everything else becomes visible.
What you notice.
What you prioritise.
What you carry back with you.
Most journeys are designed to keep you moving.
But some are designed to help you see.
That difference is conscious.
It is designed.
And it changes everything.

I used to think
the wild was about what you see.
The sightings.
The moments.
But over time,
I realised something else stays longer.
Not what you saw—
but how you began to see.
The wild has a way of slowing you down.

you begin to notice things
you didn’t know you were missing.

by what I could capture.
Sightings.

but in how I was experiencing it.
When you slow down,
the experience changes.

You begin to understand
what you’re seeing.
And that’s
a very different journey.
