More than 120 students across schools participated in Robotricks, a robotics competition organised by Next Education India Pvt Ltd at Vivekalaya Matriculation Higher Secondary School in Coimbatore. Micky Sukhwani, Assistant Vice President, Academics, and J Prakash Raju, Assistant Vice President, Sales, South, of Next Education were present at the event.
The event was conducted to encourage budding roboteers to build robots. In tune with Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, the competition invited students to design remote-controlled robots which could plant trees, set up sewage pipelines, and sort wastes and garbage. The participants were also required to design a maze and programme their robots to move through it performing the assigned tasks within a stipulated time of three minutes.
