"Makar Sankranti" is a major festival in India.
"Makar" means capricorn zodiac and "Sankranti" means trasition. So putting it together, Makar Sankranthi marks the change of sun into makar or capricorn zodiac.
This festival signals the close of winter and the start of new harvest time.
It is celebrated in many states by different names.In Punjab and Haryana, the festival is called "Lohri".
Children enjoy this day by flying kites and eating sweets.

The aim of celebrating Jungle Day was to teach students about Domestic animals and also about the most threatened wild animals.
Children dressed up in animal costume and they pretend as animals.
