“Don’t just set out to do a good job. Set out to do such a good job that the living, the dead, or the unborn couldn’t do it any better.” – Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Just six months before his assassination, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. gave an often-quoted speech at a Philadelphia junior high school. In the speech, Dr. King urged students to always do their best. Self-confidence is an attitude about your skills and abilities. It means you accept and trust yourself and have a sense of control in your life. Having high or low self-confidence is rarely related to your actual abilities, and mostly based on your perceptions. Listen to the linked TED x Talk by Dr. Ivan Joseph as he explores self confidence and how it is not just the most important skill in athletics but also in our lives.

Sometimes we don't appreciate what we already have because we're too focused on what we want. We must avoid that.
