At Amra, we have always maintained a strict no-screen policy. As our children explore Ocean Treasures, our team has been brainstorming creative ways to help them experience the wonders of the ocean—right here in landlocked Hyderabad.

Serendipitously, we discovered RoundGlass Sustain, and their incredible content immediately caught our interest. This led to a special collaboration, where we hosted a screening for our children. It was a fascinating day filled with awe-inspiring documentaries about the ocean, learning about corals, and creating beautiful underwater-themed artwork.

At Amra, the safety, happiness, and well-being of every child remain at the heart of everything we do. To strengthen this commitment, we conducted a comprehensive workshop on “Safe Touch” for parents, aimed to equip them with the knowledge, tools, and confidence to have open, age-appropriate conversations with their children about body safety, boundaries, and emotions. As a part of the same initiative, we have been equipping our teaching and help staff to support and safeguard children. Children too are being engaged in age-appropriate activities to help them understand their bodies, emotions, and personal boundaries in a safe and supportive manner.

By working together as a community, we are creating a nurturing environment where children feel empowered, protected, and confident.

Children today are growing up in dynamic and ever evolving world. They will likely grow up to have careers that may take forms we cannot yet imagine. Their future might have individuals embrace multiple roles in their lifetime. Instead of asking them what they would like to be when they grow up, we decided to inspire our little ones and spark their curiosity about the diverse roles people play in the society by hosting a Community Day.

We were honoured to have some of our very own parents step into the spotlight to showcase their professions. Alongside them, invited professionals helped create interactive stations where the children could immerse themselves in various roles.

This past weekend, Amra Circle hosted its first Farmers' Market. For the past few weeks, our children have been learning about what we eat and where our food comes from. From planting seeds to understanding fruits and vegetables and the importance of healthy eating, they’ve been deeply engaged. The Farmers' Market was a wonderful way for them to showcase their learning, applying everything they’ve discovered in a real-world setting.

Our children put their learning into action—selling fresh fruits, vegetables, flowers handmade art, and baked goods. They even ran their own café and nursery.

A child’s early years lay the foundation for his/her future development, providing a strong base for lifelong learning and learning abilities. Well-established research continues to emphasize the importance of early childhood experiences.

Amra was created so parents feel empowered in their parenting journey. Amra’s space in Gandipet, Hyderabad is gearing up to partner with parents right from conception so they have a reliable partner in navigating this critical period of the child’s early years.
