Magnetic Fishing Game – STEM Activity (Grade 4) 🎣🧲

The Magnetic Fishing Game is a fun and engaging STEM activity that helps Grade 4 students understand the basic concept of magnetism. In this activity, students create small paper or cardboard fish and attach a paper clip to each fish. A fishing rod is made using a stick, thread, and a
magnet tied at the end.

Students try to “catch” the fish using the magnetic rod. When the magnet comes close to the paper clip, it attracts it and lifts the fish. Through this game, students observe how magnets attract certain metals like iron and steel.
They also learn that magnets do not attract materials such as plastic, paper, or wood.

🧪 Ruler Drop Test Activity – Grade 9

Grade 9 students conducted an exciting physics activity called the Ruler Drop Test to understand reaction time and how quickly our brain responds to a stimulus 🧠⚡.

🔍 Activity Description:
In this activity, one student held a ruler vertically 📏 while another student placed their fingers near the bottom without touching it. When the ruler was suddenly dropped, the student tried to catch it as quickly as possible 🤏.

📊 Observation:
The distance at which the ruler was caught helped measure the reaction time. A shorter distance meant faster reaction time, while a longer distance indicated slower response ⏱️.
