Did you know about the Kaprekar Constant (6174)?
No matter which 4-digit number you choose (as long as the digits aren’t all the same), you’ll ALWAYS end up at 6174 after a few steps!
Here’s how it works:
1️⃣ Pick a number: Let’s start with 4321.
2️⃣ Arrange the digits:
Largest to smallest: 4321
Smallest to largest: 1234
3️⃣ Subtract:
4321−1234 = 3087
4️⃣ Repeat with the result:
Largest to smallest: 8730
Smallest to largest: 0378
Subtract:
8730−0378 = 8352
5️⃣ Repeat again:
Largest to smallest: 8532
Smallest to largest: 2358
Subtract:
8532−2358 = 6174
6️⃣ You’re there!
No matter what, you’ll always reach 6174, and it stays there forever.
💡 Fun Fact: This was discovered by Indian mathematician D.R. Kaprekar, proving math is full of surprises! 🧮
