It was declared as a Model School in the year 1998-99.

By the academic year 2002-2003, the Vidyalaya witnessed a phenomenal growth with four sections each from classes I to VIII ; three sections each from classes IX & X and Commerce stream is offered at +2 level. It is spread in a sprawling campus with excellent infrastructure and at present has about 1670 students on rolls with an effective staff strength of about 64.
