What if the frog in the well knew true contentment?

Serenely ensconced in its intimate cosmos,
thriving in the steady cadence of the familiar.A life not defined by limitation, but by what it knew and cherished.

And then, a window opens, to a world of well-edited fragments, polished and presented. A curated illusion.

Ripples of unrest follow, making it believe that everything it knew, or did not, was somehow not enough.

Is ignorance not a form of bliss? Or pethaps profound peace, superior to the torment of ceaseless comparison?

Not every life needs the horizon.
Maybe the well is not a prison, if we do not allow the world to convince us otherwise.

What if contentment itself were the truest metric of a life richly lived?

And now, I wonder, how would I have celebrated it, if I had?
