Polyurethane, a versatile commodity plastic, is integral to our daily lives. However, its production is associated with toxicity and its non-degradability is a major concern. The need for green and sustainable polyurethane is more urgent than ever. Seven years ago, we began developing such a polymer, and now, the results are available for everyone to see and follow. We hope this work marks a paradigm shift in the research and manufacturing of polyurethane. Despite the lengthy process, we are proud to contribute to a field of immense societal value. Earlier, we patented part of this work.

One of my former post-doc, Dr. Mithun Chakraborty, needs your help urgently. His wife, Dr. Pinki Saha (who was also a post-doc in our University), is suffering from liver disease and she needs liver transplantation immediately. The total cost for the treatment is about 40 lakhs. Mithun comes from an ordinary family, he is unable to support this huge cost.
