ποΈ International Day of Peace 2026 | Oakridge International School, Bachupally
Peace is more than the absence of conflict. It is reflected in the choices we make every day through kindness, empathy, respect, understanding, and compassion.
On International Day of Peace, our students came together dressed in white for a special assembly, reflecting on the significance of 21 September and the importance of building a more peaceful world. Through meaningful discussions, thoughtful reflections, and shared experiences, learners explored how peace begins with small actions that create a positive impact within our communities.
A special highlight of the day was hearing diverse perspectives from students and staff on what peace means to them. From choosing kindness and listening with empathy to respecting differences and supporting one another, each reflection served as a reminder that peace can be expressed in many powerful ways.
Students also explored the significance of the dove as a universal symbol of peace, hope, harmony, and freedom. Through classroom conversations and collaborative activities, they reflected on how each individual can contribute towards creating a more inclusive and compassionate world.
From the classroom to the assembly stage, our learners were reminded that peace is not just something we talk about, but something we practise every day through our words, actions, and choices.
ποΈ Because every act of kindness matters.
π€ Every moment of empathy makes a difference.
π Every choice to understand another person brings us one step closer to a more peaceful world.
Peace begins with us. Peace begins with me.
