Urgent and earnest appeal to Shivraj Singh Chouhan Hon Minister RD to reconsider the decision of withdrawal of Grant-in-aid and Restore Full Financial and Institutional support to NIRDPR-National Institute of Rural Development & Panchayati Raj

At National Institute of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj (NIRDPR) , Hyderabad, Mr. Rishu Ravi, Director, and Mr. Manish Singh, Manager, from GT Bharat shared valuable insights during a guest lecture attended by students enrolled in the PGDM RM and PGDRDM courses. Dr. Jyotish Sathyapalan, Head of CPGS at NIRDPR, warmly welcomed the esteemed speakers.

The lecture on Local Economic Development delved into the fundamental challenges faced by both the farm and non-farm sectors. This discussion highlighted the hurdles in accessing quality resources, technology, credit, and markets, impacting both sectors. The session emphasized the urgent need for infrastructural support and community-led networks like FPOs/SPVs to enhance scalability and optimize resources.

GT Bharat's proposed solutions emphasized the cluster approach, leveraging public and private investments to address gaps in the value chain through PPP models. They advocated partnerships with diverse business development service providers and leveraging government schemes to uplift the real income of beneficiaries, aiming to benefit over 5 million individuals in farming and non-farming sectors through the STREE initiative. The lecture outlined an operational model stressing collaboration with private institutes, alignment with governmental schemes, creating shared facilities, and enhancing competencies through capacity building and skill development initiatives.

GT Bharat emphasized an income enhancement approach, detailing scalable interventions for both farm and non-farm sectors. They highlighted the importance of integrated approach aligning with the ethos of Aatmanirbhar Bharat, emphasizing holistic development in aspirational districts. By fostering collaboration, convergence, and capacity-building initiatives, GT Bharat's framework aimed to address critical gaps in rural economies, striving to create an inclusive and resilient ecosystem that empowers stakeholders in both farm and non-farm sectors.
