Swarakritt was an immersive exploration where architecture listened, responded, and resonated with music. 🎶🏛️

Organised by the Indian Institute of Interior Designers in collaboration with School of Architecture, KLE Technological University, Hubli.
Thank you for the wonderful session.

Through live musical expression and thoughtful dialogue, students explored how sound shapes space and how architecture, in turn, frames music. The session encouraged us to perceive built environments not just visually, but sensorially—where silence, echo, tempo, and pause become design tools.

An enriching experience for students of SOA, Swarakritt reminded us that architecture is not static—it breathes, vibrates, and performs.

Exploring Housing Trends in India – Study Tour Highlights!
A journey of learning, exploration, and hands-on experience in housing trends, urban planning, and heritage conservation! 📍
Key Visits & Learnings:
🔹 Sun City Housing, Ambegaon – High-rise design on sloping terrain, Mivan construction techniques, fire safety, and ex*****on challenges. Observed the need for sustainable design considerations.
🔹 Goel Ganga County, Bhavdhan – 30-acre township with a Sky Walk connecting terraces, emphasizing sports facilities & marketing-driven design strategies.
🔹 Pune Heritage Core – Exploring Nana Wada, Shaniwar Wada, Lal Mahal, and other historic sites to understand traditional materials, spatial planning, and cultural influences in architecture.
🔹 Magarpatta City – A sustainable housing model with green parks, shaded streets, podium-based amenities, and integrated waste & renewable energy systems.
🔹 Hinjewadi – Analyzing urban expansion, IT hubs, and their impact on housing demand & city planning.

A Hands-on workshop on Rammed Earth and Poured Earth was conducted on 7th and 8th March 2025 at KLE TECH SOA by Resource person Ar.Sandeep Swamy and Engineer Puneet in collaboration with IIID chairperson Ar.Gururaj Naik and IIID event co - ordinator Ar.Vijayalakshmi .S .
The 2 day event included presentation by the guest and hands on work for the students . This has been an great experience for the students of SOA.The workshop was successfully executed under the support and guidance of SOA Head Dr.Vinaya .Hiremath along with SOA event co ordinators Ar.Abhishek patil and Ar.Rashmi sali
