Dear Friends,
It gives us great pleasure to report our collaboration with the DRISHTI PROJECT. We, the Rotary School Alumni Trust shall be arming 4 young, fully blind students of Hubli - Dharwad with vision. The technology is developed by M/s SHG Technogies Pvt Ltd, Bangalore. The details of the gadget can be viewed in the video attached herewith.
Philanthropists in our group may also contribute individually and help in creating a better world for the visually impaired.

Dear Friends,
Under the auspices of the Guru Poornima festival, the Rotary School Alumni Trust (R) held the 7th episode of "Project Guru Dakshana" on Sunday, 20th of July, 2025 at Dr. G. V. Joshi's Rotary English Medium High School auditorium, Adarsh Nagar, Hubli - 580 032.

1. Smt. Vani Gudi
2. Ms. Jaya Barnamas
3. Ms. Matilda Braganza
4. Ms. Jacqueline Malekar
5. Shri Benakaraj Ballammanavar
6. Ms. Nirmala Savadatti
were presented with the Guru Sanmaan Award, a symbol of great reverence for their contributions in the field of education and their decades of selfless service. This award carries a souvenir, a gift hamper, a duffle bag and a 100 gm silver bar.

The three beneficiaries of the Guru Dakshana - Episode 7 were
1. Smt. Sayeeda Sayed
2. Sudheer Javali and
3. Keshav Diwakar
They were presented with a cheque of ₹50000.00 each, a gift hamper, a duffle bag as a token of love and affection from a grateful alumni.

The "Prathibha Puraskaar", a cash prize of Rs. 10000.00 was conferred on Miss Tanushree Athani for securing the highest marks in the preceding SSLC exams.
This year an award of Rs. 5000.00 was presented to a budding artist from the school, Kumari Shrushti S. Vaddar for attaining the top position in "Veer Ghatha 2.0", a drawing competition held by the Ministry of Defence, Govt. of India in New Delhi.

Those who attended the event ranged from 1973 batch to 2021 batch of students and several past and present teachers of the Rotary Schools were present at the occasion.
Smita Sharma compered the entire show with great aplomb. Students of Rotary School sang the invocation song. Shailashree Mummigatti welcomed the guests and spoke about the Rotary School Alumni Trust and its objectives. Smita Vernekar proposed the vote of thanks.

Overcome by nostalgia, Nayan Momaya, Vijay Matti, Prashant Hebsur, Vishal Jain and Sachin Kalira spoke on the occasion, as did many of the dignitaries.

Several past and present teachers also spoke on the occasion and lauded the RSAT for its unique concept.

Dear Friends,
It gives us great pleasure to announce the commencement of Project Guru Dakshana - Episode - 7
The programme will be held on Sunday, 20th of July 2025 from 11 am onwards at Dr. G. V. Joshi's REMH School auditorium, Adarsh Nagar, Hubli - 580 032.

This year the RSAT has decided to honour the following teachers / staff of our school:
1. Smt. Vani Gudi
2. Smt. Jaya Barnamas
3. Smt. Matilda
4. Jacqueline Malekar
5. Shri Benkaraj
6. Nirmala Savadatti
by bestowing them with the Guru Sammaan Award for their devotion and dedication towards the advancement of our alma mater. The revered teachers will receive a memento, a duffel bag and a silver bar of 100 gms each.

The three beneficiaries of the Guru Dakshana - Episode - 7 will be

The Guru Dakshana carries a purse of ₹50000.00 per head and a commemorative souvenir to the teachers / support staff who have put in huge efforts to shape our future and this tribute is just a small token of our love and respect.

Further the Topper of the SSLC exams of the academic year 2024 - 2025 from our school Kumari Tanushree Athani will be awarded a cash prize of Rs. 10000.00 during this event.

Further more, a student of Class 9 from our school Kumari Shrusti Waddar was among the top 100 winners of Veer Ghata 4.0 a drawing competition organised by the Ministry of Defence, Govt. of India in New Delhi. The RSAT will honour her achievement with cash prize of Rs. 5000.00 during this event.

All the past and present teachers of our school will be invited to the ceremony, which will be followed by lunch.

We regret to inform you that our beloved Dr. Anil S. Badiger serving as the Deputy Registrar, K L E University, Hubli; alumnus of Dr. G V Joshi's Rotary English Medium High School and a founding member of Rotary School Alumni Trust ( Batch of 1984) passed away this morning following a cardiac arrest.
His last rites will be conducted at his village Kerur, Chikkodi around 6.30 pm.
We pay homage to the departed soul and pray for strength and stability to be bestowed on the bereaved family.

With profound grief and sorrow we report the untimely demise of Naresh Patil. . He was an alumnus of our school (Batch of 1994) and was serving as the Principal of Dr. G V Joshi's Rotary English Medium High School, Adarsh Nagar Hubli.
We pay homage to the departed soul and pray for strength and stability to the bereaved family.
