🥋 Heartfelt congratulations to JKA Zen Shoto Karate Academy for successfully conducting their Half-Yearly KYU Grading 2026 at Sujala Club Dojo, Howrah.

We are especially pleased to see the initiative of conducting the first-ever Table Officials Training Class at ZSKA, led by Pradeep Sharma Sensei, Technical Committee Member of JKAWF INDIA.

A JKA Championship requires not only technically capable Judges but also well-trained and responsible Table Officials. Developing knowledgeable officials is an important part of maintaining the discipline, accuracy and smooth functioning of our Championships.

We appreciate the sincere efforts of ZSKA towards the continuous development of its students and officials, and we are grateful to Pradeep Sharma Sensei for sharing his valuable technical knowledge, guidance and experience.

We extend our best wishes to all the students and participants who took part in today's KYU Grading and training sessions.

🥋 JKA HOWRAH DISTRICT BODY (Member of JKAWF INDIA WB) – PROUD MOMENT AT THE 2nd ALL INDIA JKA KARATE CHAMPIONSHIP 2026 🥋

The 2nd All India JKA Karate Championship was successfully held at KIIT University, Bhubaneswar, Odisha, on 6th & 7th June 2026, preceded by a highly inspiring Special Training Camp conducted by Takahashi Sensei on 5th June 2026.

Representing Zen Shoto Karate Academy (ZSKA) under JKA Howrah District Body, a total of three participants attended the Training Camp, while two competitors represented our district at the Championship, student of Sattasundar Sadhukhan and achieved remarkable success.

Aahan Koley – Silver Medal (2nd Place) in Kata 🥈 and Silver Medal (2nd Place) in Kumite 🥈

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to both karatekas for their outstanding performance and dedication. Their achievements have brought great pride to JKA Howrah and Zen Shoto Karate Academy.

A championship of this scale can never be successful without the collective efforts of countless individuals working behind the scenes. We sincerely thank all the Organizers, Officials, Referees, Judges, Volunteers, Staff Members, Coaches, and Support Teams whose hard work, commitment, and professionalism made this national event a grand success.

A very special thanks to JKAWF INDIA Odisha for hosting and organizing such a well-planned, disciplined, and memorable championship. The hospitality, arrangements, and overall management of the event were truly commendable.

We sincerely hope to witness many more prestigious JKA events in Bhubaneswar in the future.

✨The 2nd All Bengal JKA Karate Championship 2025✨
📅 Held on 2nd November 2025 (Sunday)
📍 Sobuj Sathi, Dumurjala Howrah Indoor Stadium

The 2nd All Bengal JKA Karate Championship 2025 was successfully organized by JKAWF INDIA (WB) with the full support of JKA HOWRAH.
This prestigious event witnessed the enthusiastic participation of around 550 competitors from across Bengal.

We were deeply honoured to have Sona Ghosh Sensei as the Chief Guest, along with several distinguished personalities, including Madam Santana from the Project & Development Department of Howrah Municipal Corporation. Their presence added great value and encouragement to the event.

Arindam Sensei served as the Tournament Director, while Somnath Palchowdhury Sensei was the Supreme Judge, adding immense prestige to the championship.

The entire event setup and coordination were masterfully handled by Sensei Sattasundar Sadhukhan, General Secretary of JKAWF INDIA Howrah along with his dedicated Core Team and supporting parents.
Special thanks to our supporting staff — Sharmistha Sreemany, Ish*ta Chowdhury, Biswanath Chowdhury, Madhumita Chowdhury, Sovan Dewanjee, Smita Roy, Mowshri Basu and Sumon Roy — for their tireless efforts before, during, and after the event.
We also extend heartfelt gratitude to Krishnendu Da from Ranaghat Dojo and of course our JKAWF INDIA Chairman Somnath Sensei for their continuous presence and guidance throughout the preparation and championship.

A total of 36 Judges, 20 Officials and 30 Support Staff worked seamlessly together to ensure the smooth and successful ex*****on of this event.

From the Howrah District Team, 10 students participated — achieving 2 Gold, 8 Silver, and 4 Bronze medals.
Their Team Coach, Sunita Chowdhury, who has been consistently performing her duties with excellence, deserves special appreciation for her continued dedication and leadership.

Heartfelt congratulations to all participants, winners, and supporters for making this championship a grand success.
With such wonderful teamwork and spirit, we look forward to an even greater event in the future! 🥋🔥

We extend a warm invitation to all JKA karate enthusiasts in West Bengal to witness the largest and most prestigious 'Shobu Ippon' karate event of the year - The 2nd All Bengal JKA Karate Championship 2025. This Sunday, November 2nd, 2025, the Sabuj Sathi Krirangan Howrah Indoor Stadium will host over 550 talented JKA practitioners competing in various categories to showcase their skills and expertise.

The championship will follow the traditional 'Shobu Ippon' format, a style of karate competition pioneered by the JKA in Japan over 70 years ago. In this format, a single decisive point, or 'ippon,' secures victory, emphasizing the importance of precision, power, and technique. We look forward to an exciting display of martial arts excellence!

This event is organised by the JKAWF INDIA WB and supported by the JKA Howrah.

JKAWF INDIA এর উদ্যোগে পশ্চিমবঙ্গের উত্তর ২৪ পরগণা, দক্ষিণ ২৪ পরগণা, কলকাতা, হুগলী এবং হাওড়া জেলার JKA কারাতে শিক্ষার্থীদের কথা মনে করে এই প্রথম কলকাতা শহরে JKA হেডকোয়ার্টার থেকে আসতে চলেছেন বিশ্বখ্যাত মহিলা প্রশিক্ষক, ৭ম ডান ব্ল্যাক বেল্ট প্রাপ্ত হিরায়ামা শিহান।
আগামী ২০ ~ ২১ শে জানুয়ারী ২০২৬ তারিখে THE SPACE CIRCLE CLUB এ শুধুমাত্র উপরিউক্ত জেলার বাছাই করা JKA কারাতে শিক্ষার্থীদের technical guidance দেবেন হিরায়ামা শিহান। সঙ্গে অভিভাবকদের সঙ্গে কারাতে বিষয়ক প্রাসঙ্গিক আলোচনা সভাতেও অংশগ্রহণ করবেন তিনি।
হিরায়ামা শিহান কলকাতায় ছাত্র ছাত্রীদের প্রশিক্ষণ ভিন্ন; পশ্চিমবঙ্গ, বিহার ও ঝাড়খণ্ডের JKA প্রশিক্ষকদের জন্য এক বিশেষ প্রশিক্ষণ দানও করবেন। হিরায়ামা শিহান-এর তত্ত্বাবধানে অনুষ্ঠিত হবে JKA এর অফিসিয়াল ব্ল্যাক বেল্ট এবং বিভিন্ন লাইসেন্স এর পরীক্ষা।
আমি নিশ্চিত যে আমার কারাতে ক্লাসের সমস্ত ছাত্র ছাত্রী বৃন্দ এই অভূতপূর্ব প্রশিক্ষণ শিবিরে অংশগ্রহণ করবে এবং তোমাদের জন্য আমাদের উদ্যোগকে সাফল্যমণ্ডিত করে তুলবে।

The JKAWF INDIA encourages and supports its members to visit the JKA HQ to study the art, science and culture of karate-do from where it has been developed and spread across the world.
