Co-Innovation Centre is conducting a Hackathon, in collaboration with IIC and TCGTBI, among the students of IIEST, Shibpur.
The broad theme is “Build a Service Robot”
The Hackathon shall be conducted in two phases.
The first phase shall incorporate the Software design. The actual prototype shall be built in the Second stage.
The rules for the Hackathon are as follows:
1. Students from different discipline, may constitute a Team.
2. Each team cannot exceed 5 members.
3. The Idea competition shall be held online.
4. The students need to submit a Software solution for the First Phase.
5. Three (3) teams will be shortlisted from the First Phase.
6. Based on the screening of the First Phase, actual prototype may be built.
7. CiC will reimburse Maximum Rs. 15,000/- per team.
8. The Actual Hardware will be built in the CiC space in the Lecture Hall Complex.
9. Based on the actual prototype, prize money of Rs. 10,000/- will be given to the First Team from the CiC.
10. Submission may be made to Email id- [email protected] before April 16, 2025.

The inauguration of the Co-Innovation Centre (CiC), in collaboration with I-Hub Foundation for Cobotics (IHFC), TIH of IIT Delhi, is scheduled to be held as per the following schedule:
Date: January 31, 2025 (Friday)
Time: 12.00 PM-3.00 PM
Venue: Gateway Hall, CiC Space in Lecture Hall Complex and Oval Ground
The primary objective of this Centre is to promote student entrepreneurship, and start-ups in deep technology domains such as Robotics, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning, the Internet of Things (IoT), and other related fields.
The CiC will focus on fostering new product development, advancing research and translation efforts, and supporting the creation of high-potential start-ups within these domains.
Prof. V M S R Murthy, Hon’ble Director, IIEST, Shibpur has kindly consented to inaugurate the centre.
Prof. Subir Kumar Saha, from IIT Delhi will be present in the inauguration.
