International Mother Language Day was observed by the Department of Arts on 21st February focusing on this year’s theme : "Youth voices on multilingual education". To commemorate the day, a cultural programme was organised that witnessed enthusiastic participation of both students and staff members. A lamp lighting ceremony was followed by song, dance, recitation and speeches delivered by the students. The event also included a display of posters made by the students, promoting awareness regarding the importance of multilingualism in creating an inclusive and multicultural society. The programme concluded with a choral rendition of the famous Bengali song by Dwijendralal Ray "Dhono dhanyo pushpo bhora". 🇮🇳❤️

The Department of Commerce, in collaboration with the IQAC, successfully organised a one-day academic workshop on “Understanding Economics” on 30th January 2026. 🎓📊 The workshop aimed at strengthening students’ conceptual understanding through practical demonstration and peer learning.

The workshop was inaugurated by the Chairman, Shri Mahabir Prasad Shroff, and the Teacher-in-Charge, Prof. Sovonita Datta 🙏🌟. It was conducted by the Morning-in-Charge and senior faculty member, Prof. Dr. Nibir Goswami 👨‍🏫📘. 15 students enthusiastically participated 💡✍️. The participants demonstrated key theoretical concepts through handwritten charts, showcasing creativity and clarity 🎨📄. After careful evaluation, the jury declared Pallabi Bhattacharjee, Priyangshu Singha, and Shagun Jaiswal as the 1st 🥇, 2nd 🥈, and 3rd 🥉 position holders, respectively.

All participants were awarded certificates and medals 🏅📜 in recognition of their sincere efforts and academic excellence 🌟👏.
