Q1: Why is the night sky dark if there are infinity stars?

Direct Answer: The universe is expanding and has a finite age, meaning light from the most distant stars has not yet reached Earth.

Scientific Explanation: Known as Olbers' Paradox. If the universe were infinite, static, and timeless, every line of sight would end on a star, making the night sky as bright as the sun. Because the universe began ~13.8 billion years ago, we can only see a finite volume of space (the observable universe). Furthermore, cosmic expansion stretches travelling light into invisible infrared wavelengths.

Methods & Models: The Friedmann-Lemaître-Robertson-Walker (FLRW) metric models cosmic expansion and the redshift of light.

Calculations: The age of the universe (\(t \approx 13.8 \times 10^9\text{ years}\)) multiplied by the speed of light (\(c\)) establishes the particle horizon (\(\approx 46.5\text{ billion light-years}\) due to expansion inflation), proving the observable stellar volume is strictly finite.

Related Researchers: Heinrich Wilhelm Olbers (popularised the paradox); Edward Harrison (solved it using thermodynamics).

Must-Know Fact: The sky isn't actually dark; it glows uniformly in the microwave spectrum due to the Cosmic Microwave Background (CMB), which is invisible to human eyes.

*பார்-டெய்ல்டு காட்விட் (Bar-tailed Godwit - Limosa lapponica)* என்பது உலகிலேயே மிக நீண்ட தூரம், இடையில் எங்கும் நிற்காமல் தொடர்ந்து (Non-stop) பறந்து சாதனை படைக்கும் ஒரு விசித்திரமான ஆர்க்டிக் புலம்பெயரும் பறவை ஆகும்.

பறவையைப் பற்றிய சுவாரசியமான வானியல் மற்றும் உயிரியல் உண்மைகள் இதோ:

🌍 *உலக சாதனைப் பயணம் (World Record Flight)சாதனைப் பயணம்:* ஒரு இளம் 5 மாத காட்விட் பறவை (குறியீட்டுப் பெயர்: B6), அலாஸ்காவிலிருந்து புறப்பட்டு ஆஸ்திரேலியாவின் தாஸ்மேனியா வரை 13,560 கிலோமீட்டர் தூரத்தை இடையில் எங்கும் தரை இறங்காமல் கடந்து உலக கின்னஸ் சாதனை படைத்துள்ளது.

*பயண காலம்:* இந்த அசுர தூரத்தை அது வெறும் 11 நாட்கள் மற்றும் 1 மணி நேரத்தில் கடந்தது. இந்த 11 நாட்களும் அது உணவு, தண்ணீர், ஓய்வு ஏதுமின்றித் தொடர்ந்து காற்றில் பறந்து கொண்டே இருந்தது.🧬

வியக்க வைக்கும் உடலமைப்பு மாற்றங்கள் இவ்வளவு நீண்ட பயணத்தைத் தாங்குவதற்காக, இப்பறவை தன் உடலை ஒரு 'பறக்கும் எரிபொருள் டேங்க்' ஆக மாற்றிக்கொள்கிறது:

*உடல் எடை மாற்றம்:* பயணத்திற்கு முன்னால், காட்விட் பறவைகள் அதிக அளவு உணவை உண்டு, தங்கள் உடல் எடையை கிட்டத்தட்ட இருமடங்காக (கொழுப்பாக) மாற்றிக் கொள்கின்றன.

*உறுப்புகள் சுருங்குதல்:* பறக்கும் போது தேவையற்ற எடையைக் குறைப்பதற்காகவும், ஆற்றலைச் சேமிக்கவும், அவற்றின் வயிற்றுப்பகுதி மற்றும் கல்லீரல் (Digestive Organs) போன்ற உள் உறுப்புகள் தற்காலிகமாகச் சுருங்கிவிடுகின்றன.

*பறக்கும் போதே தூக்கம்:* இவை நீண்ட தூரம் பறக்கும் போது, தங்களின் ஒரு பக்க மூளையைத் தூங்க வைத்துவிட்டு, மறுபக்க மூளையின் மூலம் விழிப்போடு பறக்கும் திறன் (Unihemispheric slow-wave sleep) கொண்டவை.

🌌 *வானியல் மற்றும் குவாண்டம் வழிகாட்டுதல் (Navigation System) பெருங்கடலுக்கு மேல் திசையறிய எந்த அடையாளமும் இல்லாத சூழலில், இப்பறவைகள் பின்வரும் வானியல் மற்றும் இயற்கை வழிகளைப் பயன்படுத்துகின்றன:*

*சூரியன் மற்றும் நட்சத்திரங்கள்:* பகலில் சூரியனின் திசையையும், இரவில் நட்சத்திரங்களின் அமைப்பையும் கொண்டு துல்லியமாகத் திசையைக் கணிக்கின்றன.

*பூமியின் காந்தப்புலம் (Quantum Navigation):* இவற்றின் கண்களில் உள்ள ஒரு விசேஷ புரதம் (Cryptochromes) பூமியின் காந்தப்புலத்தை 'பார்க்கும்' குவாண்டம் ஆற்றலைத் தருகிறது. இதன் மூலம் அவை திசை மாறாமல் பயணிக்கின்றன.
