🇮🇳 Made with little hands & lots of love!

Our young learners celebrated Independence Day by creating the Indian flag through hand printing and weaving their very own Independence-themed bracelets.

“Design an umbrella you can use without your hands.” ☔💭

A simple prompt. Endless possibilities.

At BiGiN, our open learners didn’t stop at drawing umbrellas. They questioned the problem, challenged assumptions, and imagined solutions that ranged from practical to wonderfully imaginative.

✨ A headband umbrella
✨ A backpack that opens into an umbrella
✨ A rain-sensing umbrella shirt inspired by car airbags
✨ Waterproof pods you can step inside
✨ Street umbrellas that appear automatically
✨ Even a magical pill that turns your hair into a waterproof umbrella!

What started as one question became brainstorming sessions, sketches, discussions, revisions and the blackboard was filled with ideas.

This is what learning looks like when children are given the freedom to think instead of the pressure to be right.

At BiGiN – an alternate learning environment, we don’t just teach children to solve problems. We help them notice problems, imagine possibilities, and confidently share ideas that don’t yet exist.

Because today’s “crazy” idea might just become tomorrow’s invention. 💛

Anthotype / Sun printing

(a fun sensory art & science experiment)

Materials needed: Thick drawing sheets (150gsm or above), turmeric, leaves, clear glass / acrylic sheets, baking soda.

1️⃣ Mix turmeric with water and apply on the paper. Place the paper on a flat surface or tray.

2️⃣ Place leaves or any paper cut outs as desired. Keep the acrylic sheet on top of the paper.

3️⃣ Leave in direct sunlight for 1-2 days. The portion left uncovered will start to fade.

4️⃣ Remove the acrylic sheet and the cut outs / leaves. The portion under the leaves would be in a darker shade of yellow compared to the rest of the paper.

5️⃣ Dip the paper in a solution of baking soda and water. Hang it to dry

Vijayadashami admissions open.

Hosur’s first child led learning space. Our high teacher to student ratio (1:6) helps our facilitator to know the child better. We work towards an educational journey that is tailor made for each child according to their interests and learning pace.

Every child is unique and our open learning environment ensures the children get all the resources they need to enrich into their beautiful selves.

We are hosting an open house on Oct 6th, to interact with interested parents . Send us a DM to know more.
