University School of Engineering, Hoshiarpur

On *04/06/2026* , under the umbrella of *Bahra Foundation* , the *Education Social Responsibility (ESR) Wing,* in collaboration with *NSS volunteer students,* celebrated *World Environment Day.* The event was organized from *1:30 PM to 2:30 PM* at the *RBIET Multipurpose Hall, Rayat Bahra Professional University, HSP PB.*
The event was organized by *Mr. Amit Kumar, Assistant Professor and NSS Coordinator* from the *University School of Engineering and Computing, Rayat Bahra Professional University.*
A total of *15 NSS volunteers* along with *15 other participants who were not NSS volunteers* actively participated in the event. In addition, many engineering students were also present in the auditorium to attend and listen to the valuable message and keynote address delivered by the Hon’ble *Vice Chancellor, Dr. Chander Mohan* of Rayat Bahra Professional University, HSP, PB.
During his *keynote address, the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor* emphasized the importance of protecting and preserving the environment. He highlighted the significant role of youth and volunteers in creating awareness and ensuring a sustainable future. He encouraged students to actively participate in environmental activities and take responsibility for safeguarding nature.
*NSS Programme Coordinator Dr. Pallavi Pandit* also addressed the students and delivered an important message regarding environmental protection. She encouraged students to understand their responsibility towards nature and further spread awareness messages within society so that environmental consciousness can reach a larger community.
After the completion of the event at the Multipurpose Hall, the 15 NSS volunteer students conducted a campus round and spread awareness regarding environmental conservation. They communicated how volunteers can continuously work within society for environmental protection and sustainability. The volunteers also took a pledge to actively participate throughout the academic year 2026–27 and continue contributing enthusiastically toward activities focused on environmental protection and awareness.
