ਬੀ.ਏ.ਐਲ.ਐਲ.ਬੀ ਆਖਰੀ ਸਮੈਸਟਰ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਖਿਆ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਵਾਪਸ ਪਰਤ ਰਹੇ ਇੱਕ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਦੀ ਅਣਪਛਾਤੇ ਨੌਜਵਾਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਤੇਜ਼ਧਾਰ ਹਥਿਆਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਹੱਤਿਆ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ | ਘਟਨਾ ਦਾ ਪਤਾ ਲੱਗਦਿਆਂ ਹੀ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਮੌਕੇ 'ਤੇ ਪਹੰੁਚ ਗਏ ਤੇ ਘਟਨਾ ਦੀ ਜਾਂਚ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ | ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਮਨਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਉਰਫ਼ ਮੰਨਾ (26) ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸਹਾਇਕ ਸਬ-ਇੰਸਪੈਕਟਰ ਦਵਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਵਾਸੀ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਲਾਇਨ ਹੁਸ਼ਿਆਰਪੁਰ, ਪੰਜਾਬ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਖੇਤਰੀ ਸੈਂਟਰ ਸਵਾਮੀ ਸਰਵਾਨੰਦਗਿਰੀ ਬਜਵਾੜਾ ਹੁਸ਼ਿਆਰਪੁਰ 'ਚ ਬੀ.ਏ.ਐਲ.ਐਲ. ਬੀ ਆਖਰੀ ਸਾਲ ਦਾ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਸੀ ਅੱਜ ਉਹ ਪੇਪਰ ਦੇਣ ਲਈ ਖੇਤਰੀ ਸੈਂਟਰ ਆਇਆ ਸੀ | ਦੱਸਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਜਿਸ ਵੇਲੇ ਉਹ ਪੇਪਰ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਕਰੀਬ ਸ਼ਾਮ 5.30 ਵਜੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਜਿਪਸੀ ਨੰ: ਪੀ.ਬੀ 60 ਏ 8919 'ਤੇ ਸੈਂਟਰ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਨਿਕਲਿਆ ਤਾਂ 2 ਕਾਰਾਂ 'ਚ ਸਵਾਰ ਕੁਝ ਅਣਪਛਾਤੇ ਨੌਜਵਾਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਘੇਰ ਲਿਆ ਤੇ ਦੇਖਦਿਆਂ ਹੀ ਦੇਖਦਿਆਂ ਉਸ 'ਤੇ ਤੇਜ਼ਧਾਰ ਹਥਿਆਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਹਮਲਾ ਬੋਲ ਦਿੱਤਾ | ਹਮਲੇ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਗੰਭੀਰ ਹਾਲਤ 'ਚ ਮਨਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੂੰ ਸਥਾਨਕ ਸਿਵਲ ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ਲਿਆਂਦਾ ਗਿਆ
ਜਿਥੇ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਡਾਕਟਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਿ੍ਤਕ ਐਲਾਨ ਦਿੱਤਾ | ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਡੀ.ਐਸ.ਪੀ ਸਿਟੀ ਸਮੀਰ ਵਰਮਾ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਮਾਮਲੇ ਦੀ ਬਰੀਕੀ ਨਾਲ ਜਾਂਚ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਜਲਦ ਹੀ ਕਾਤਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗਿ੍ਫ਼ਤਾਰ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ | ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਥਾਣਾ ਸਦਰ ਦੇ ਐਸ.ਐਚ.ਓ ਰਾਜੇਸ਼ ਕੁਮਾਰ, ਥਾਣਾ ਮਾਡਲ ਟਾਊਨ ਦੇ ਐਸ.ਐਚ.ਓ ਗੋਪਾਲ ਸਿੰਘ, ਐਸ.ਐਚ.ਓ ਸਿਟੀ ਅਮਰ ਨਾਥ ਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਹਾਜ਼ਰ ਸਨ |
