Grand Inauguration of Punjab’s First School to Introduce Pickleball Courts*

Woodland Overseas School proudly marked a historic milestone with the inauguration of Punjab’s first school-based Pickleball Courts. The school has introduced four Pickleball courts featuring international-standard 8-layered synthetic surfaces, providing students with world-class sporting infrastructure.
The courts were inaugurated by Mr. Mandeep Singh Gill, Managing Trustee of Woodland Overseas School, in the presence of Mr. Rakesh Katyal (Retired Principal), along with esteemed guests, parents, teachers, and students.
Recognized as one of the fastest-growing sports in the world, Pickleball promotes fitness, agility, coordination, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Guru Dakshta Ignites Inquiry: Woodland Teachers Embrace Student‑Centered Learning"*

Woodland Overseas School hosted a two-day CBSE Capacity Building Programme, "Guru Dakshta," on 1–2 June 2026 to strengthen faculty skills and promote innovative teaching.
The workshop was conducted by experienced CBSE resource persons appointed by the CBSE Centre of Excellence, Chandigarh. Sessions focused on student-centered, inquiry-based learning, critical thinking, creativity, and dynamic classroom strategies using hands-on tasks, group discussions, and demonstrations.
The programme concluded with renewed staff motivation to create classrooms that foster curiosity, problem-solving, and independent learning—embodying the principle, "involve me and I learn.
