An outreach and extension activity on “Drug-Free Youth Awareness” was successfully conducted in Changran Village with the objective of spreading awareness among the local community, particularly the youth, about the harmful effects of drug abuse and the importance of leading a healthy and addiction-free life.
This initiative was organized by the University School of Commerce & Finance at Rayat Bahra Professional University Hoshiarpur in collaboration with the University School of Hospitality. The program aimed to educate villagers about the physical, psychological, and social consequences of drug addiction and to encourage them to adopt positive and productive lifestyles.
During the visit, the team interacted with the villagers and conducted awareness sessions highlighting the dangers of substance abuse. The youth were especially motivated to stay away from drugs and focus on education, sports, and skill development as means of personal growth and community development.
The villagers actively participated in the discussions, showing great interest and concern regarding the issue. The awareness drive helped in fostering a sense of responsibility among the community members to work collectively towards building a drug-free society.
A special acknowledgment goes to the Sarpanch of Changran Village, Ms. Reena Kumari, whose support and cooperation played a crucial role in the successful organization of the program. Her efforts encouraged maximum participation from the villagers and ensured the smooth ex*****on of the activity.
The program was conducted under the guidance and coordination of Ms. Arpna Devi (Coordinator) and Mr. Nishat Bhatia (Co-Coordinator), whose leadership, planning, and support contributed significantly to the effectiveness of the outreach initiative.
Overall, the activity proved to be highly impact in raising awareness and promoting a positive attitude towards eliminating drug abuse. Such outreach programs are essential in creating a healthier, safer, and more responsible society.

The Industrial visit to Sachdeva Stocks PVT. LTD., Hoshiarpur was organised by the School of Commerce & Finance under  able guidance of Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Dr. Chander Mohan and Mr. Davinder Thakur (HOD-USCF). The visit accompanied the students of BCOM(H) along with Assistant Professor Mr.Lovepreet Singh on 30th March ,2026.The Resource Person was Ranbir Sachdeva (CEO-Sachdeva Stocks).The students were divided into two groups and informed regarding   the working of stock market, the role of the stock broker in the ex*****on of orders placed by the clients. The experts explained various concepts such as equity trading, risk management, and the use of digital platforms for buying and selling stocks. Students also gained insights into how market fluctuations occur and how investors respond to economic and political changes. Emphasis was laid on disciplined investing, diversification, and long-term financial planning. Overall, the visit to Sachdeva Stocks, Hoshiarpur proved to be highly informative and enriching. It helped students understand the practical aspects of stock trading and financial decision-making, thereby enhancing their knowledge and interest in the field of finance and investment.

The Industrial visit to “Verka Milk Plant”, Jalandhar was organised by the School of Commerce & Finance under the able guidance of Honorable VC sir Dr. Chander Mohan, Mr.Davinder Thakur ( HOD USCF) along with other Faculty members. The visit was accompanied the students of BCOM(H) & MCOM along with Faculty member –Mr. Anuj Sharma on 25th March, 2026. The objective of an industrial visit is to provide the students insights regarding the internal working of industry . The Resouce person was Mr. Pawan Passi-( Marketing Manager) The Professionals of the plant guided them about various Functional areas. The Students were informed regarding collection centres , city suppy & sample testing. They explain students about pasteurization process and explain it with flow chart. Students visited their paneer , desi ghee and kheer making sections. They also shows students dahi incubation room , cold store. Apart from this students visit their packaging section and their quality check stages. The visit concluded with question answers round in which students provided feedback. Overall it was a very good learning experience and students acquired the practical knowledge about the industrial and operational practices of a industry. All the students showed lot of interest and gained knowledge.

An Alumni Talk was successfully organized on 25th March 2026 by the School of Commerce & Finance with the aim of providing students an opportunity to interact with and learn from the experiences of distinguished alumni. The session was conducted under the able guidance of Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Dr. Chander Mohan and Mr. Davinder Thakur (HOD-USCF).The event featured esteemed alumni Anurag Thakur who shared their professional journeys, challenges, and achievements after completing their studies. They provided valuable insights into career opportunities, industry expectations, and the importance of skill development in today’s competitive environment. The speakers emphasized the need for continuous learning, adaptability, and practical exposure to succeed in the corporate world. The session was highly interactive, with students actively participating by asking questions related to career planning, higher education, and job prospects. The alumni also guided students on how to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and industry requirements. The talk proved to be highly informative and inspiring, motivating students to set clear career goals and work diligently towards achieving them.

Guest Lecture on Web Development | 25th March 2026

The School of Computer Applications and Technology successfully organized a Guest Lecture on Web Development on 25th March 2026 under the able guidance of Dr. Jarnail Singh, Director, USCAT.

The guest lecture was efficiently coordinated by Ms. Arpana Singh. Students from BCA 4th semester actively participated in the session.

The event proved to be highly informative and engaging, providing students with valuable insights into web development technologies, frameworks, and current industry practices. It enhanced their understanding of front-end and back-end development, along with real-world applications.

Overall, the session was a great success and contributed significantly to improving students’ technical knowledge and practical skills in web development.

A Banking Quiz Activity was organized by the USCF under able guidance of Vice Chancellor Sir-Dr.Chander Mohan, Mr. Davinder Thakur (HOD-USCF) for the students of B.Com and M.Com with the objective of enhancing their knowledge of the banking sector and testing their awareness of current financial developments. The quiz comprised multiple rounds covering various aspects of banking, including basic banking concepts, Indian banking structure, recent developments, digital banking, and financial awareness. Questions related to prominent institutions such as the Reserve Bank of India, public and private sector banks, and recent trends like online banking and financial inclusion were also included. The competition was designed to be both informative and engaging, encouraging students to actively participate and think critically.

Students were divided into teams, and each round tested their knowledge, speed, and accuracy. Faculty members acted as quiz masters and evaluators, ensuring smooth conduct of the event. Winners of the quiz are as follows,

2nd- Sahil, Kunal( Bcom 6th)

A Nukkad Natak on the Martyrdom day of Shaheed Bhagat Singh was organized by the USCF under able guidance of Vice Chancellor Sir-Dr.Chander Mohan, Mr. Davinder Thakur (HOD-USCF) for the students of B.Com and M.Com on 19th March, 26 with the objective to pay tribute to their supreme sacrifice and to spread awareness among the public about their courage, patriotism, and dedication to the nation.
The play was performed by students in an open area to attract the attention of the general public. The theme of the Nukkad Natak revolved around the struggle for India’s independence and highlighted the important events leading to the ex*****on of Bhagat Singh and his fellow revolutionaries on 23rd March 1931. Through powerful dialogues and emotional expressions, the students portrayed the fearless personality of Bhagat Singh. The scenes depicted his protest against British rule, the famous incident of throwing bombs in the Central Legislative Assembly (intended not to harm but to make the British “hear the voice of the oppressed”), and his strong belief in justice and freedom.The performance successfully engaged the audience and left a deep impact on their minds. It reminded everyone of the importance of remembering our freedom fighters and inspired the youth to contribute positively towards the nation.In conclusion, the Nukkad Natak was not only an entertaining activity but also an educational and inspiring experience. It served as a meaningful tribute to Bhagat Singh and his fellow martyrs, encouraging everyone to uphold the values of courage, patriotism, and selflessness in their lives

The Faculty of Allied & Health Care Sciences, in collaboration with the District Drug De-addiction and Rehabilitation Centre, orchestrated a momentous drive against drug addiction under the visionary leadership of Vice Chancellor Dr. Chandermohan, Dean (FAHCS) Dr. Atul Khajuria, and the astute guidance and mentorship of HOD (FAHCS) Dr. Sukhmeet Kaur Bedi. The event was graced by the illustrious presence of Chief Guest Dr. Ishank Chabewal, MLA, and Special Guest Deputy Medical Commissioner Dr. Swati Sheemar, who enlightened the students about the perils of drug addiction and its efficacious management. Their sagacious judgment in the poster making competition was commendably discerning. Over 70 students from Allied & Health Care Sciences participated in the poster making competition, showcasing their artistic prowess and fervor for the cause. A poignant skit, crafted by students of the University School of Medical Laboratory Sciences, effectively created awareness about the scourge of drug addiction. Dr. Jasleen Kaur, Incharge DDRCH, elucidated the deleterious effects of drug abuse on the human body, while Ms. Nisha Rani accentuated the commendable efforts being undertaken by district health authorities for drug de-addiction and rehabilitation. Mr. Prashant Adia, Counsellor, expounded on the modalities of extending support to individuals struggling with drug addiction. Dr. Sukhmeet Kaur Bedi extended her sincere gratitude to the esteemed dignitaries for their invaluable presence and contributions.

Guest Lecture on IPO by USCF
Knowledge has a beginning and no ends. It becomes power only when we put it into use. Learn everyday but especially from the experiences of others. Keeping this in view, a Guest Lecture was organised by the School of  Commerce & Finance  under the able guidance of Honarable Vice-Chancellor Dr. Chander Mohan, Mr.Davinder Thakur (HOD-USCF) along with Faculty Members on 11th March ,2026  on the Topic of “INTIAL PUBLIC OFFERINGS & CS as CAREER”. Students of BCOM and MCOM  attended the lecture .The Session was taken by Mr. Atul Sood-(Company secretary & Compliance Officer) at Mrs.Bector’s Speciality Foods Pvt Ltd. The Speaker has enrich knowledge about the tools of IPO. The Resource person guided the students about investment through IPO, information of Shares price and Market risks associated with IPO. Speaker explains about different credit rating agencies such as CRISIL, CARE, ICRA to students. He also explains Students about Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI). He also shed lights on Scope of Company Secretary to Students as a career profile. He awares students about different CS courses.  The session was ended with question answer round. The Lecture was a very informative and interactive. The session ended with the vote of thanks. All the Students felt that the session was very interesting.
