MASS Communication Department erstwhile CMT DEPARTMENT alumni Prof Paramveer has joined as a Head of the department at Central University Jammu, bringing Joy and pride to the alma mater.

Prof Paramveer Singh has been actively involved in the field of media education since 2007 and possesses extensive experience in both academia and the media industry. He has worked with a television news channel as a Video Editor and has also served as a Master Trainer with the District Rural Development Agency (DRDA). He began his academic career at Government National P.G. College, Sirsa, and subsequently joined the Institute of Mass Communication & Media Technology, Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra, in 2008.

Prof. Singh earned his Ph.D. in Mass Communication from Guru Jambheshwar University of Science & Technology, Hisar, and completed his M.Phil. from Chaudhary Devi Lal University, Sirsa. He served as an Assistant Professor at the Central University of Jharkhand, Ranchi, from 9 August 2012 to 2 January 2018. At present, he is serving as a Professor in the Department of Mass Communication and New Media at the Central University of Jammu, where he joined on 28 January 2025. His professional journey reflects a strong combination of academic expertise, practical media experience, teaching, training, and research in the field of mass communication.

Prof Pooja Rana and Dr Rusha Mudgil both alumni of Mass Communication today joined their alma mater and shared their emotional journey from the benches of Mass Communication Department GJUST to the Dean Research Amity University.
