Celebrating International Dance Day and Panchayati Raj Awareness
“Competitions are not about winning alone; They are about striving to be better than yesterday.”
The commencement of the new academic session marked a fresh start filled with renewed enthusiasm, aspirations, and a spirit of determination among the students. Along with the academic pursuits, the school also initiated its much-awaited Inter-House Competitions, setting the stage for a vibrant display of talents and teamwork.
On 18 April 2026 our school enthusiastically organized a vibrant series of Inter-House Activities for students from Classes VI to XII. The event was thoughtfully designed around two engaging themes: “International Dance Day” for junior classes and “Panchayati Raj” for senior classes. The program aimed to foster creativity, teamwork, cultural awareness, and civic responsibility among students. The day started with great excitement as students of Classes VI to VIII showcased their talents through various performances inspired by International Dance Day. Students of Class VI presented lively and colourful Western and Folk dance performances. Their energetic movements, coordinated steps, and colourful costumes reflected a beautiful blend of modern and traditional cultures. Class VII students demonstrated the significance of discipline and well-being through a synchronized Yoga presentation that highlighted the importance of physical fitness and mental peacekeeping balance and coordination .The students of Class VIII captivated everyone with their Classical Dance performances. Their expressions and traditional attire beautifully portrayed India’s rich cultural heritage. The dances were both elegant and deeply rooted in tradition.
For the senior section (Classes IX to XII), activities were based on the theme of Panchayati Raj, aiming to spread awareness about grassroots democracy and local governance , where Class IX students participated in a Tug of War competition, symbolizing unity, strength, and teamwork, Class X students were engaged in a Slogan Writing Competition on the theme of Panchayati Raj. Their creative and thought-provoking slogans reflected awareness about the importance of local self-governance, citizen participation, and rural development . Students of Classes XI and XII presented impactful skits highlighting the role and functioning of Panchayati Raj Through meaningful dialogues and realistic enactments, they effectively conveyed messages about democratic participation, transparency, and rural empowerment. Thethoughts were educational and engaging, providing a platform for students not only to showcase their talents but also to help in building confidence, teamwork, and social awareness.
Overall, the Inter-House Activities were a blending of cultural celebration with educational values and creating memorable experiences for all.
Heartfelt congratulations to all the winners of Inter House Competitions.
