A Celebration of Freedom, Patriotism and Young India
Royale Apollo International School celebrated the 80th Independence Day of India with great patriotic fervour and enthusiasm on Saturday, 15 August 2026, at the school campus. The celebration brought together the school management, teachers, students and guests in a meaningful tribute to the nation and its rich legacy of freedom.
The programme commenced with the assembly of students in the school ground, followed by the arrival of the Chief Guest, Mr. Madan Gowda H B, Vice President, KUJWJ, Bengaluru. The ceremonial Guard of Honour, unfurling of the National Flag, flag salute and rendition of the National Anthem set a solemn and patriotic tone for the celebration.
The formal programme continued with a series of thoughtfully curated student presentations. Students showcased their talents through a patriotic song, speeches in English and Kannada, a fancy dress presentation, skit and dance drama. The celebration also reflected the school's commitment to innovation and experiential learning through the presentation of an AI Robo-Dog Show.
The students' enthusiastic participation and confident performances beautifully reflected the values of discipline, creativity, leadership and patriotism. The programme also featured an awarding ceremony for the Inter-house Bulletin Board Competition, recognising students for their creativity and collaborative spirit.
The Chief Guest was felicitated, followed by the Independence Day Message by the Chief Guest, which inspired the young learners to understand that true freedom carries with it the responsibility to contribute positively to society and the nation. The Presidential Address by the Chairperson, Sri J Naveen, further emphasised the importance of nurturing responsible, confident and compassionate citizens.
The programme concluded with an address by Dr. Ravi Kumar L P, CEO & Senior Principal, followed by the Vote of Thanks. The celebration served as a powerful reminder that education is not merely about academic excellence but also about cultivating responsible citizens who value freedom, unity, integrity and service to the nation.
The 80th Independence Day celebration at Royale Apollo International School was therefore not just a commemoration of India's freedom, but a vibrant expression of the school's vision of creating leaders of tomorrow.
