Importance of emotional intelligence for students to exceed in their studies

Students lead a busy life which includes school assignments, tutorials, exam preparations and what not. To add to this is the stress of the expectations of teachers and parents during exams and their results. To exceed in all the facets of their studies it is very important for students to balance their Emotional Quotient. Emotional intelligence is the ability of the student to understand his personal emotions as well as others and act with an appropriate response.
Following is how Emotional Intelligence is important for students:
1. This creates self-awareness among students as they can put into words what they are currently feeling.
2. The self-awareness also makes the student empathize with the emotions of the people around him.
3. This makes the person maintain relationships and make them qualitative.
