Day-2 Highlights | Bootcamp on Mobile Device Security | NIT Hamirpur
The second day of the Bootcamp on Mobile Device Security at NIT Hamirpur featured an expert session by Dr. Ajay Guleria, Senior System Manager, Computer Services Centre, IIT Delhi.
Dr. Guleria, with over 31 years of rich experience in IT infrastructure management and teaching, delivered an insightful session focusing on network automation and security. He shared practical perspectives drawn from real-world deployments and emphasized the importance of secure, scalable, and automated network systems in modern computing environments.
The session was highly interactive and provided participants with valuable exposure to industry-relevant challenges and best practices, further strengthening their understanding of mobile and network security.

Prof. Suryawanshi, Director, NIT Hamirpur, could not attend the inaugural session due to his busy schedule, however, he conveyed his best wishes to the participants. The event was graced by Prof. Rakesh Sehgal, Dean R & C NIT Hamirpur, who was also the chief guest for today. He emphasized the importance of cybersecurity in an increasingly digital world. Dr. Archana Nanoty, Registrar, NIT Hamirpur, highlighted the instituteās commitment to fostering innovation and research in security domains. Dr. Siddhartha Chauhan, Head, DoCSE, spoke about the departmentās efforts to equip students and researchers with advanced security tools and techniques. Dr. . P. Sharma, CI, ISEA Phase-III, shared insights into the ISEA initiative and its role in strengthening cybersecurity education, while Dr. Naveen Chauhan, Co-CI of the project, discussed the significance of mobile security and the pressing challenges in securing digital ecosystems. The smooth conduct of the bootcamp is being ensured under the dedicated coordination of Dr. Kumar and Dr. Nitin Gupta, who highlighted the objective of providing participants with practical exposure to contemporary challenges in mobile device security.
The occasion was further enriched by the presence of esteemed expert Dr. Rajesh Kumar Pal, Founder & Director of Mobisec Technologies Private Limited who shared his expertise during the bootcamp, providing valuable insights into the latest trends and challenges in mobile security and forensic analysis.

The Department of Computer Science & Engineering, National Institute of Technology Hamirpur, proudly participated in the 16th Convocation Ceremony held on 22 December 2025.
The ceremony was honoured by the distinguished presence of Shri Anurag Singh Thakur, Honāble Member of Parliament and Chairman, Parliamentary Standing Committee on Coal, Mines and Steel, as the Chief Guest, and Dr. Pramod K. Satyawali, Director, DGREāDRDO, Chandigarh, as the Guest of Honour, whose inspiring addresses enriched the occasion.

This work was presented at the
2025 IEEE 6th India Council International Subsections Conference (INDISCON),
held at NIT Rourkela during 21ā23 August 2025.
The research introduces an AI-driven hybrid routing framework for MANETs, integrating GraphSAGE for graph representation, GRU for temporal modeling, and Soft Actor-Critic (SAC) reinforcement learning for optimal routing decisions, achieving enhanced routing efficiency and network performance under dynamic conditions.

DoCSE National Institute of Technology Hamirpur Launches One-Week Faculty Updation Programme on Mobile Device Security under ISEA Phase-III Project of MeitY, Government of India
Hamirpur, Nov 17 ā A one-week Faculty Updation Programme (FUP) on āMobile Device Securityā was inaugurated today in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, NIT Hamirpur. The programme is being organized under the Information Security Education & Awareness (ISEA) Phase-III Project, sponsored by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India.
Dr. Teek Parval Sharma, Principal Investigator of the ISEA Phase-III Project, delivered the welcome address and highlighted the growing threats in mobile ecosystems, emphasizing the importance of securing smartphones, applications, and user data in an increasingly digital and interconnected world.

The National Institute of Technology Hamirpur inaugurated its annual cultural festival Hillāffair 2025 on 7th November 2025 at the Institute Auditorium. Organized under the Cultural Activities & Clubs, the festival celebrates creativity, identity, and the vibrant cultural spirit of the institute.
The ceremony began with a mass singing of Vande Mataram, marking the 150th anniversary of the national song, followed by the lighting of the ceremonial lamp and formal inauguration by:
