On November 22-23, 2024, Career Point University students showcased groundbreaking innovations at Punjab University's DST - Technology Enabling Center seminar on technology transfer and commercialization.

✨ Shubham presented the Thermo Waste Energy Reactor, supervised by Ashish Jaiswal, Project Engineer, DST -TEC which generates electricity from garbage and paper waste.
✨ Neha Devi introduced Him Sanitary Pads, an economical and superior sanitary product developed under Dr. Rolika Gupta, Assistant Professor, Microbiology guidance.

👏 Vice Chancellor Dr. Sanjeev Sharma and Pro-Chancellor Dr. P.L. Gautam Ji honoured the students, inspiring them to aim higher.

🌱 Empowering Farmers in Himachal Pradesh 🌱

Today, 19.09.2024, we had an incredible opportunity to visit a farmer's house in the Hamirpur area near Career Point University, Hamirpur, H.P. Our focus was on promoting "Special Interest Tourism" and "Integrated Fish and Poultry Farming" in Himachal.

We engaged with local farmers, sharing knowledge about cultivating diverse crops like plum, pomegranate, jackfruit, litchi, pineapple, maize, and millets. These practices not only enhance agricultural productivity but also boost tourism and create job opportunities in the region.

A highlight of our visit was witnessing how these farmers effectively utilize rainwater, demonstrating innovative methods for irrigation and pond management. Their commitment to sustainable farming is truly commendable!

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to these dedicated farmers for their vital contributions to Himachal Pradesh's agricultural landscape. At DST Technology Enabling Centre, Career Point University, we are committed to supporting such initiatives and encouraging farmers to participate in our various programs.

Career Point University Hosts Official Meeting with Government of India as Satellite Station to Punjab University -TEC

On September 9, 2024, the DST-Technology Enabling Centre at Career Point University, Hamirpur, Himachal Pradesh, conducted an official meeting with representatives from the Government of India. This significant event positioned Career Point University as a satellite station to Punjab University’s Technology Enabling Centre (TEC).

The discussions covered vital topics such as technology transfer, commercialization, and technology development, paving the way for enhanced innovation and collaboration in the region. The meeting marked an important milestone for advancing technology-driven initiatives at Career Point University.

Career Point University Signs MoU with Punjab University for Advanced Research

In a major step towards strengthening research capabilities, Career Point University, Hamirpur, Himachal Pradesh, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Punjab University's Specialized Instrumentation Lab (SAF Lab), Chandigarh. The SAF Lab has been established by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India.

Dr. Kuldeep Kumar, Director of Research and Development at Career Point University, emphasized that this MoU marks a significant achievement, as CPU becomes the first university in the state to partner with the SAF Lab. This collaboration will allow students and researchers to engage in high-end research using cutting-edge equipment like Transmission Electron Microscopes (TEM), Scanning Electron Microscopes (SEM), and more.

Notably, students of IIT will receive up to 80% discount in fees for research projects at the SAF Lab. The agreement, effective for the next 5 years, aims to foster mutual cooperation in research and enhance academic growth for students and faculty alike.

🎉 National Small Industries Day Celebrated at Career Point University 🎉

The DST Technology Enabling Centre and Institution's Innovation Council at Career Point University proudly organized a special event to commemorate National Small Industries Day. The program was honoured by the presence of Mr. Ashish Jaiswal, Project Engineer at the DST Technology Enabling Centre and Scientist at the Directorate of R&D, Career Point University. who delivered an insightful session on "Early Incubation Opportunities for Students." His talk provided students with valuable guidance on harnessing early opportunities in innovation and entrepreneurship.

The event also featured Dr. Asha, Nodal Officer of MSME & Pioneer Incubator, and Dr. Rahul, Chairperson of Pioneer Incubator and President of the Institution's Innovation Council. They inspired students to embrace early incubation opportunities and offered practical advice on transforming innovative ideas into successful businesses.

The program saw enthusiastic participation from a large number of students, along with faculty members from various departments, contributing to the event's overall success.
