What happens when the money exists only on paper? 📊

The Satyam scandal revealed how inflated revenue, profits and fictitious cash balances could make a company appear financially stronger than it really was. Behind those impressive figures were investors trusting the financial statements, directors and auditors.

For commerce students, this case connects accounting with corporate governance, auditing and business ethics. Understanding a balance sheet means more than reading numbers—it means questioning how those numbers were prepared and verified. This Trinity College Mysore reel explores why accurate reporting and accountability matter to everyone who places their trust in a business.

Watch the reel to understand the lesson behind the numbers.

A student perspective on the emotions behind everyday purchases. 💡

Meet Vidhwat, a BBA student from Trinity College Mysore, as he explores why people sometimes buy more than a product’s features. Using iPhone, Nike and Rolex as examples, he discusses how brands can connect with feelings of confidence, motivation, status and achievement.

His explanation highlights the relationship between functional and emotional benefits—what a product helps us do and what it may help us feel or express. By examining familiar brands, Vidhwat makes an important marketing idea easier to recognise in everyday life and invites us to reflect on the meaning behind our own purchases.

Join the conversation: which brand connects with your aspirations?

Deleting an app does not always delete your data.

Uninstalling removes an application from your phone, but your account information, search activity, location history, uploaded photos and other records may continue to exist on the company’s servers or cloud backups.

It is like throwing away the key while the cupboard containing your information still remains. To remove your data, you may need to delete the account or submit a separate data deletion request. Understanding privacy settings and retention policies is an essential part of using technology responsibly.

Before deleting an app, check what happens to your data.
