The Anti Drug Committee organised an Anti-Drug Awareness Programme under the theme “Nasha Mukt Bharat” (Drug-Free India) to spread awareness about the harmful effects of drug abuse and promote a healthy, responsible, and drug-free society.

The programme sensitised students about the physical, psychological, social, and economic consequences of drug and substance abuse. Students and staff actively participated in an Anti-Drug Awareness Rally, raising slogans and carrying messages advocating a drug-free society.

As part of the campaign, students and staff also participated in the E-Pledge, reaffirming their commitment to staying away from drugs, creating awareness among others, and contributing towards a Nasha Mukt Uttarakhand and Nasha Mukt Bharat.

Several awareness videos were also screened to reinforce the message of the campaign and encourage wider participation.

Dr. Navin Chandra Pant, Chairman, Anti-Drug Committee, delivered an informative talk on the harmful effects of drug and substance abuse, highlighting its adverse impact on individual health, family life, education, and society.

The programme was supported by Anti-Drug Committee members Dr. Tanuj Kumar Pandey, Dr. Rakesh Sharma, Dr. Anuja Mirsha, Mr. Yogesh Kumar Joshi, Mr. Inder Singh, Ms. Tripti Padalia, Mr. Gaurav Raghuvanshi, and Ms. Pooja Negi.

The active participation of committee members, faculty members, and students reflected the University's collective commitment to awareness, prevention, and building a healthier, safer, and drug-free society.

The FYNIX Club, Faculty of Hospitality Management, organized a Rangoli Making Activity as part of the Independence Day celebrations.

With the theme of Independence Day, students beautifully expressed patriotism, creativity, unity, and national pride through the traditional art of Rangoli.

Six enthusiastic teams from BHM 3rd, 5th, and 7th Semesters participated, showcasing their artistic talent, teamwork, and creativity. The activity also promoted experiential learning, cultural awareness, collaboration, and holistic development in line with the spirit of NEP 2020.

The 80th Independence Day was celebrated at Amrapali University with great enthusiasm, patriotism, and joy. The celebrations commenced with the hoisting of the Tricolour by the Board of Management, Vice Chancellor, Pro Vice Chancellor, Controller of Examinations, Deans, Directors, HoDs in the presence of other senior officials, faculty members, staff, and students.

Prof. (Dr.) Dharm Beer Singh (VC AU) delivered an inspiring address, recalling the sacrifices of our freedom fighters and expressing deep gratitude to the Indian Armed Forces for their selfless service and unwavering commitment to the nation. He also highlighted the vital role of the youth in shaping a progressive, responsible, and stronger India.

The celebrations were further enriched by soulful patriotic musical performances that evoked a profound sense of national pride and unity among everyone present. Ms. Arpita Upreti (Assistant Professor) conducted the programme, while the Administration Team, led by Mr. Shantanu Bishnoi, efficiently managed the arrangements.

The celebration concluded with refreshments for all, leaving everyone with a renewed sense of patriotism, gratitude, and commitment towards the nation.

Prof. (Dr.) D. B. Singh (VC AU) attended the State (Self-Financed) Universities Vice Chancellors’ Meet, hosted by Lt. Gen. Gurmit Singh, PVSM, UYSM, AVSM, VSM (Retd.), Hon’ble Governor of Uttarakhand.

During the meeting, Prof. (Dr.) D. B. Singh briefed the Hon’ble Governor on the various initiatives undertaken by Amrapali University in the areas of education, research, skill development, student development, and other institutional activities.

The meeting also provided an opportunity to deliberate on key areas shaping the future of higher education, including research, skill development, best teaching practices, scholarships, and promotion of local culture. Universities were also encouraged to highlight the achievements and contributions of their faculty members, students, and alumni.

B.Tech. Mechanical Engineering students underwent a one-month industrial training programme at Ghaziabad Precision Products Pvt. Ltd., SIDCUL.

The training provided students with practical exposure to manufacturing processes, industrial operations, and the real-world application of mechanical engineering concepts.

The programme was conducted under the academic guidance of Dr. Ashutosh Kumar Singh and with the support of PIIC, in coordination with Mr. Sawan Gupta, HR, Ghaziabad Precision Products Pvt. Ltd.

The University organised “Shahidon Ka Samman” as a solemn tribute to the brave martyrs who made the supreme sacrifice for the nation. The programme reflected a deep sense of patriotism, gratitude, and reverence for the courage and valour of our armed forces.

The programme commenced with a solemn floral tribute at the statue of Shaheed Bhagat Singh Ji, honouring his extraordinary courage, patriotism, and supreme sacrifice for the nation. His life and ideals continue to inspire generations to uphold the values of courage, freedom, justice, and selfless service to the nation.

On this solemn occasion, Late Shri Ramesh Monga Ji, Founder & Vice Chairman of Amrapali University (then Amrapali Group of Institutes), was also respectfully remembered. His visionary leadership, dedicated service, and invaluable contribution to the growth and development of the institution remain an enduring legacy. His commitment to education, social responsibility, and nation-building continues to inspire the entire Amrapali family.

A patriotic pledge was subsequently administered, reaffirming the collective commitment towards national unity, integrity, discipline, and responsible citizenship. The active participation of students and NSS volunteers further reflected their spirit of patriotism and commitment towards building a responsible, united, and progressive India.

The programme was graced by the esteemed presence of the Board of Management, Vice Chancellor, Pro Vice Chancellor, Registrar, Administrative Officer, along with faculty members, staff, and NSS volunteers.

The programme was organised by Mr. Nirmal Joshi, NSS Member, and Dr. Manish Uprety, NSS Programme Officer. It concluded with a collective resolve to always remember and honour the sacrifices of our martyrs and to contribute meaningfully towards the progress and development of the nation.
