The 2001 Indian Parliament attack was a terrorist attack on the Parliament of India in New Delhi, India, on December 13, 2001. The perpetrators belonged to Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), two Pakistan-raised terrorist organizations. The attack led to the deaths of six Delhi Police personnel, two Parliament Security Service personnel, and a gardener a total of nine, and led to increased tensions between India and Pakistan, resulting in the 2001–02 India–Pakistan standoff. The 5 terrorists were killed outside the parliament.

Human Rights Day is observed every year on 10 December — the day the United Nations General Assembly adopted, in 1948, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR). The UDHR is a milestone document, which proclaims the inalienable rights that everyone is entitled to as a human being - regardless of race, colour, religion, s*x, language, political or other opinions, national or social origin, property, birth or other status.

International Mountain Day is celebrated annually on 11 December to create awareness about the importance of mountains to life, to highlight the opportunities and constraints in mountain development, and to build alliances that will bring positive change to mountain people and the environment around the world.

The United Nations General Assembly created UNICEF on December 11, 1946, as the United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund. The program was initiated by the UN to improve the health, nutrition, education, and general welfare of children devastated due to World War II.

Human Rights Day is observed by the International community every year on 10 December. It commemorates the day in 1948 the United Nations General Assembly adopted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

International Anti-Corruption Day.
It is observed on December 9 each year. Musicals, plays, keynote speeches and other activities that focus on the theme of fighting against corruption help promote International Anti-Corruption Day. The Assembly also designated 9th December as International Anti-Corruption Day, to raise awareness of corruption and the Convention's role in combating and preventing it. The Convention entered into force in December 2005

Since 1949, 7th December is observed as the Armed Forces Flag Day throughout the country to honour the martyrs and the men in uniform who valiantly fought on our borders to safeguard the country's honour. There cannot be a nobler cause than laying down one's life for the country. The Armed Forces Flag Day or the Flag Day of India is a day dedicated to honouring the soldiers and veterans of India's armed forces. It has been observed annually in India on December 7 since 1949

Uttarakhand is famous as the Land of the Gods or “Dev Bhumi”. During the time of its foundation, it was named Uttaranchal.

In 2007, the name of the state was formally altered from Uttaranchal to Uttarakhand.
Students delivered speech and participate in various cultural programs. These exercises on the occasion of Uttarakhand Foundation Day was intended to imprint students minds with the rich history of Uttarakhand and its foundation.

International Volunteer Day
On International Volunteer Day (IVD) 2022, we celebrate our theme of solidarity through volunteering. For the future of our planet, we must act together and we must act now. This is not an era to stand alone but together, as one, in solidarity with each other.

World Soil Day,
World Soil Day (WSD) is held annually on 5 December as a means to focus attention on the importance of healthy soil and to advocate for the sustainable management of soil resources. An international day to celebrate soil was recommended by the International Union of Soil Sciences (IUSS) in 2002.

Indian Navy Day is celebrated annually on 4th December to commemorate the achievements of India's naval forces and their role in the nation. The theme for Indian Navy Day 2022 is 'Swarnim Vijay Varsh', which marks 50 years of India's triumph in the 1971 Indo-Pakistan war.
