It is a matter of immense pleasure that the initiation of the Book Fair at St. Lawrence Sr. Sec. School, which commenced on 5 December 2024. The event was inaugurated by our esteemed Principal, Mrs. Anita Joshi, who expressed her enthusiasm for fostering a love of reading among students.
The fair features a wide variety of books catering to all age groups and interests, offering a fantastic opportunity for students to explore new genres, authors, and ideas. The vibrant stalls and engaging displays have created an atmosphere of excitement and curiosity.

🌟 Empowering Minds at the Parent-Student Orientation Program 🌟
Today marked a significant day at our school as we hosted a highly engaging Parent-Student Orientation Program. The highlight of the event was an insightful session by our esteemed Chairman, Mr. Anil Joshi, a seasoned academician and parenting coach.
Mr. Joshi shared valuable perspectives on fostering holistic development, cultivating curiosity, and balancing academic excellence with core values. He also extended heartfelt thanks to the EduProbe team for their invaluable support in academic analysis and for providing critical insights that help students achieve success in their academic journey.
We are grateful to Mr. Joshi for his visionary leadership and to all the parents who joined us in making this event a grand success. Together, let’s continue to build a nurturing environment where every child thrives!

St. Lawrence Sr. Sec. School celebrated Uttarakhand Sathapna Divas with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour on 9 November, 2024. The event was given theme - Virasat. It was attended by the Managing Director Mr. Sunil Joshi, Chairman Mr. Anil Joshi, Principal Mrs Anita Joshi, Vice-principal Mr. B C Karnatak, students, teachers and parents.
The celebrations commenced with lamp lighting ceremony by the dignitaries in Capt. J N Memorial Hall. The key highlight of the event was the cultural program, which featured traditional dances, music and theatrical performances showcasing the rich and varied cultural heritage of Uttarakhand. The celebrations were set about with Ganesh Vandana. Next to follow was the Nanda Rajyatra of Uttarakhand which was the most poignant attraction of the event. The glimpses of Uttarkhandi music, festivals, folk dances and state's history were other centre of attractions. The event also threw light on the Chipko Movement and Beti Bachao Beti Padhao campaign. The event was solely prepared and presented by the students of class 8 and 9. The performances were well - received and appreciated by the audience and were a reminder of state's diverse traditions and values. The comical skit staged by the students really amused the audience. The event concluded with the vote of thanks by the Principal ma'am. She praised the students for their dedication, hardwork and all the preparations. At last the national anthem was sung by the gathering creating an atmosphere of unity and pride. The event was a resounding success, leaving all the attendees with a deep sense of pride and commitment towards their state.

The celebration of Diwali and Dhanteras at St. Lawrence Sr. Sec. School was marked with great enthusiasm and creativity. The day's festivities began with a morning assembly where students presented a unique and amazing performance, setting a joyous tone for the day.
The students showcased their talents through a series of captivating performances on RAMAYAN which included dance, drama, and music, all reflecting the festive spirit of Diwali and Dhanteras.
Following the assembly, the school organized a house-wise rangoli competition. Students from various houses participated actively, displaying their artistic skills through intricate and colorful rangolis.
One of the highlights of the event was a unique depiction of Goddess Laxmi, crafted by the teachers.

Today we honored the wisdom, love and legacy of our beloved grandparents. The students of St. Lawrence came together to express their gratitude through heartfelt performances, songs, and activities, filling the day with joy and laughter.
The chief guest, Block Education Officer Tara Singh, along with the special guest, school patron Mrs. Shanti Joshi, Chairman Mr. Anil Joshi, Director Sunil Joshi, Principal Anita Joshi, Vice Principal Bhuvnesh Karnatak, and Coordinator Sanjay Suyal, lit the lamp to inaugurate the ceremony.
Grandparents play a vital role in shaping our lives, and today was all about showing them how much they mean to us. From sharing stories of the past to witnessing their vibrant energy in fun-filled games, the event brought together generations in a truly special way.

On 02 October 2024 St. Lawrence Sr. Sec. School celebrated Gandhi Jayanti and Lal Bahadur Shastri Jayanti with immense zeal and enthusiasm. The event was marked with heartfelt tributes to Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri.
Students actively participated in the program, performing skit and singing songs that highlighted the values of truth and non-violence, which Mahatma Gandhi stood for.
In line with Gandhi’s vision of cleanliness, a Swachhta Abhiyan was organized on the school premises, where students and staff worked together to clean the school grounds and surrounding areas.
The day concluded with a friendly match between students and teachers, fostering the spirit of unity and teamwork.
Principal Mrs. Anita Joshi addressed the students and gave her best wishes and reminded them of their responsibilities towards the nation. Moreover she emphasized on the importance of maintaining cleanliness and contributing to the betterment of society in line with the principles of Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri.

St. Lawrence Senior Secondary School Celebrates Nutrition Week with Special Lunches!
2nd September: Carbohydrates for Class 6 Students
To kick off our Nutrition Week celebration, students of Class 6 enjoyed a special carbohydrate-rich lunch on 2nd September. The meal included delicious dishes such as rice, bread, and fresh fruits. This energetic menu was designed to highlight the importance of carbohydrates in providing energy for our daily activities. The students loved the tasty treats while learning about the role of carbs in maintaining a balanced diet.
3rd September: Protein Power for Class 7
On 3rd September, our Class 7 students enjoyed a protein-packed lunch featuring items such as beans, lentils, eggs, and paneer. The focus was on helping students understand how proteins are essential for growth and repair in the body. The event was both informative and enjoyable, encouraging students to incorporate more protein into their diets.
4th September: Fueling with Fats for Class 8
Our Class 8 students celebrated Nutrition Week with a special fat-enriched lunch on 4th September. The menu included healthy fats from foods such as nuts, seeds, avocado, and dairy products. The goal was to teach students about the importance of fats in providing long-lasting energy and supporting cell growth, all while maintaining a balanced approach to consumption.
6th September: Minerals Matter for Class 9
Closing out the week, Class 9 students were treated to a mineral-rich lunch on 6th September. Their meal featured leafy greens, nuts, seeds, and dairy products, emphasizing the importance of minerals like calcium, iron, and magnesium in keeping our bones strong and supporting overall health. Students left with a deeper understanding of the critical role minerals play in their wellbeing.
We at St. Lawrence Senior Secondary School are thrilled to promote health and nutrition awareness through this event. Our students not only enjoyed nutritious meals but also gained valuable knowledge about the importance of a balanced diet. Here’s to fostering healthy habits that last a lifetime!

September 5, 2024, was a day of joy and gratitude at St Lawrence Sr Sec School. students, teachers and staff came together to celebrate Teachers' Day.
The day began with a special assembly, where students paid tribute to their teachers through heartfelt speeches, songs and skits.
The program was initiated by a lamp lighting ceremony in front of goddess Saraswati and Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan by school chairman Mr Anil Joshi, director Mr Sunil Joshi, Principal Mrs Anita Joshi, Renu Joshi and Vinita Joshi.
The staff also participated in various programs including games, quizzes, songs and cultural events, which added to the festive spirit.
School Chairman Mr. Anil Joshi extended best wishes to all students and teachers, emphasizing the significance of the occasion.
Principal Mrs Anita Joshi addressed the gathering, wishing students and teachers a Happy Teachers' Day. She said that Teachers are the backbone of our education system and they guide us, inspire us and help us to grow.
We always respect and remember their contribution in our lives.

On 04 September 2024 a program was organized at St Lawrence Sr Sec School as a part of the campaign initiated by District Magistrate Mrs. Vandana Singh for the safety of girls and women.
A committee comprising Richa Singh- Additional Director Training, Mrs Shweta- Assistant Chief Medical Officer, Shilpa Joshi- Child Development Officer, Tabbassum Iqbal- Counsellor and Yashoda Sah - Assistant Teacher Physical Education GIC Ramnagar, conducted the program.
The committee members informed girl students about their safety and identified areas where they feel unsafe. Helpline numbers also shared with the students for any assistance.
Principal Mrs. Anita Joshi appreciated the initiative and encouraged students to take advantage of the campaign.

On *30 August 2024* ,
The Interact Club of St. Lawrence Sr. Sec. School organised *paper bag project* initiated by *"The Soft Move"* in the collaboration with the Rotary Club Haldwani , to promote sustainability and reduce plastic waste in our community. This project aimed to design and produce eco - friendly bags with newspaper raising awareness and the importance of environmental conservation. Our enthusiastic interactors delicately worked for this project as a result of which we have collected *10000 +* bags and distributed them to the local vendors in our local market , contributing in reducing plastic waste.
We hope that this initiative will surely produce a positive impact . We express our Heartfelt thanks to the rotary club for this wonderful project initiated by *'The Soft Move'*. As a school community we look forward to continue are efforts towards a greener future🌳🌳🌳.

On 29th August 2024, our school organized an Interhouse Football Match in the memory of the legendary Major Dhyan Chand, to celebrate National Sports Day.
The event saw enthusiastic participation from our four houses - Neelgiri, Arawali, Himadri, and Vindyachal.
Our School Chairman, Mr. Anil Joshi, and Principal, Mrs. Anita Joshi, kicked off the event by introducing the players and encouraging them to showcase their skills.
The final match was a thrilling encounter between Arawali and Neelgiri houses, with Neelgiri House emerging as the champion.
