The Annual College Week of Damdama College ended today. It started with the hoisting of the Flag of the College on 12.02.25 by the Principal. Various events under Games and Sports, Cultural. Literary and Symposium section, Minor Games, Social Service wings were held during the period.
The Department won several prizes on various group and individual events.
In cultural cultural rally, Department of Economics emerged as the winner of the 1st prize. The theme was 'Magh Bihu'. The wall megazine of the Department-'OIKONOMIA' also won the 1st prize jointly with the Department of History.
The Cricket Team of the Department became the champion. Champak(C), Mrinmoy, Kashyap, Diksh*t, Shiva, Bhargav and Akash were the players in the team. In 'Go as You Like' the Department won the consolation prize.
In quiz, the Departmental Team with Sunami, Champak and Mousam Kashyap won the 2nd Prize. Gayetri(6th Sem) won the 1st prize in Musical Chair. Violina (6th Sem) won 1st prize in Cleanliness Drive and Letter Writing (নীলাখামৰ চিঠি).
Hiyashree (4th Sem) won 1st prize in Poem recitation (সাগৰ দেখিছা?), 3rd prize in Jyoti Sangeet, 3rd Prize in Traditional Cuisine.
Barasha (4th Sem) who also was the General Secretary of the Students Union of the college 2024-25, won individually the 3rd Prize in Letter writing (নীলা খামৰ চিঠি). Nikita Das, also of the 4th Semester, was the secretary of Girls Common Room. The other portfolio holder in the Students Union from the Department was Gayetri Deka of the 6th Sem, who was the secretary of Social Services Section.
Champak (2nd sem) won first prize in Blindfold Game. Mrinmoy(2nd Sem) won the runners up in chess. Tina wo 1st Prize in 'On the spot poetry writing' and the 2nd prize in musical chair.
Special mention: The team of faculties led by Rajib Mahanta defeated the Champion Team of the Department of Economics and in a way, thereby emerged as the champion of the champions.
In the entire program, Prof Nazneen Ara Hoque and Pallab Jyoti Das (4th Sem) was the core leader of the team.
