Production of high value powder and stabilized liquid products

Development of a pilot plant for production of high value, flaked/powder and stabilized liquid or infusion type products from wide variety of plants with exotic flavor aroma, bioactivity or functionality from indigenous plants of Hailakandi district Assam. Objectives
• Development of a pilot plant for production of powder and flake type dehydrated products plus condiments type products
• Training

and entrepreneurship development
• Creating a bouquet of commercially acceptable functional dehydrated and liquid products for food, pharmaceutical and cosmeceutical applications from indigenous plants from NE India

Beneficiaries
Beneficiaries will be mainly Rural population including women and SC/ST entrepreneurs and educated youth

In a collaborative effort with RuTAG-IIT Guwahati and VIBGYOR N.E Foundation, we organized a workshop on "Identification of Challenging Need-based Problems/Issues concerning Rural Economy through S & T Interventions." 🌏🛠️

The event was a huge success as it brought together Self-Help Group (SHG) members and farmers from our district to discuss their pressing problems and explore technological solutions to overcome them. 💪🌽

🧑‍🌾 The participants shared their valuable insights and experiences, shedding light on the challenges they encounter daily in the rural economy.

👨‍🔬 Dr. Sourabh Sarma from ICAR-KVK graced us with his presence and expertise, providing invaluable comments and guidance during the interactive sessions. His insights were truly enlightening and will go a long way in shaping our future initiatives. 🙌🔬

By fostering such collaborations and sharing knowledge, we can make a significant impact on improving the lives of those in rural areas. 🌟

Interaction with the SHG's of Hailakandi block District Hailakandi. The SHG's were given knowledge about various Millets and their benefits by the KVK Hailakandi Expert Mr Sourabh Sarma Sir. In link with the millet cultivation, the millet products developed by Divavi Enterprises were showcased to show the livelihood opportunities linked with millets.
