Report on World Environment Day Observation

Venue: Mount Zion School, Hee Bardara, Heegoan
Date: 5 June 2026

Mount Zion School, Hee Bardara, Heegoan, observed World Environment Day on 5 June 2026 with great enthusiasm and a strong commitment to promoting environmental awareness among students. The programme aimed to encourage students to understand the importance of protecting nature and preserving a clean, green environment.

The programme began a brief address highlighting the significance of World Environment Day. Students were encouraged to become responsible citizens by adopting eco-friendly habits such as reducing plastic use, conserving water, planting trees, and maintaining cleanliness in their surroundings.

As part of the celebration, teachers and students actively participated in a campus cleanliness drive. Students cleaned classrooms, school premises, and nearby surroundings, demonstrating the importance of keeping the environment neat and healthy. Tree saplings and flowering plants were also planted within the school campus to promote greenery and biodiversity.

Students participated in small rally promoting environmental conservation nearby school surroundings. These helped them understand their responsibility towards protecting the environment for future generations.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks, appreciating the efforts of the teachers and students for their active participation. The observance of World Environment Day inspired everyone to continue caring for the environment and to contribute towards building a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable future.

Annual Function Celebrated at Mount Zion School

Date: 14th December 2025.
Venue: School Playground.

Mount Zion School organized its ‘Annual Function’ with great enthusiasm and joy on 14th December 2025 in the school playground. The programme began at 10:00 a.m. and was hosted by Miss Ashwina Limboo and Miss Eroshna Rai (students of grade IX). The function was attended by students, teachers, parents, and distinguished guests.

The function commenced with welcome speech by Sir Arjun Tamang, who welcomed everyone. The Principal, Mr. Samir Sewa also warmly welcomed the gathering and highlighten the achievements of the school during the academic year and encouraged the students to pursue excellence with discipline and integrity.

The cultural programme was the main attraction of the event. Students presented a variety of performances including group songs, group dances, showcasing their talents and creativity. The audience appreciated the performances and applauded the efforts of the students and teachers.

Meritorious students were honored with prizes and certificates for their indoor sports achievements. The function concluded with a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all who contributed to the success of the event.

The Annual Function was a grand success and left lasting memories for everyone present.

Report on Nepali Rhymes/Reading Competition
As per the pre-scheduled activity, the students of Mount Zion School participated in the Nepali
Rhymes Recitation and Pustak Wachan Competition held at PM Shri Dentam Senior
Secondary School.
Our team reached the venue at 10:20 am, where the participants were warmly welcomed. The competition was divided into two categories:
1. Nepali Rhymes Recitation – for Primary Section (Classes 1, 2, and 3).
2. Pustak Wachan (Book Reading) – for Classes 4 and 5.
The participants from our school performed with great enthusiasm and confidence. Their clear
pronunciation, expression, and stage presence were highly appreciated by the audience. The
students represented the school with dedication and showcased their talents effectively.
The following students took part in the competition:
Nepali Rhymes Recitation: Devyani Rana, Sukriti Limboo, Subensha Rai, Aisha Chhetri,
Barun Chhetri, Netanya Lepcha, Ridhan A. Limboo, Ashwina Rai, Arson Sharma, and Khiansh
K. Sharma.
Pustak Wachan: Aaradhya Rai.
Throughout the program, the participants were guided and supported by their mentors: Khusi
Rai Miss, Reshma Khatun Ma’am, Sujan Limboo Ma’am, and Meghnath Pradhan Sir.
Lunch was arranged by the organizing committee, and the students carried their water bottles
as instructed.
After the successful completion of the event, the students returned to school at 3:00 pm and
attended the last period.
The Zionite family congratulates and extends best wishes to all the participants for their
confident performance and valuable participation in this inter-school event.

प्रतिवेदन : नेपाली स्वरचित कविता वाचन तथा संभाषण प्रतियोगिता।

पूर्व निर्धारित कार्यक्रमअनुसार आज माउन्ट जायन वि‌द्यालयका विद्यार्थीहरूले पी. एम. श्री देन्ताम वरिष्ठ माध्यमिक विद्यालयमा आयोजित नेपाली स्वरचित कविता वाचन तथा संभाषण प्रतियोगितामा सहभागिता जनाए।
यस कार्यक्रमको उद्देश्य विद्यार्थीहरूको आत्मविश्वास विकास गर्ने, बोल्ने कला अभिवृद्धि गर्ने तथा साहित्यिक प्रतिभालाई उजागर गर्ने थियो।

हाम्रो टोली बिहान १०:३० बजे प्रतियोगिता स्थलमा पुगेका थियौं।
कार्यक्रममा विद्यार्थीहरूको उत्साहजनक सहभागिता रह्यो। संभाषण (आकस्मिक वक्तृत्वकला )कार्यक्रममा विद्यार्थीहले आफ्नो विषयमा आत्मविश्वासपूर्वक विचार प्रस्तुत गरे। छोटो तयारीमै प्रभावकारी ढङ्गले आफ्ना धारणा अभिव्यक्त गर्ने उनको क्षमता प्रशंसनीय रह्यो।
त्यसैगरी, कविता वाचन कार्यक्रममा विद्यार्थीहरूले आफ्नै सिर्जनशील रचना समेत प्रस्तुत गरे। उनीहरूको स्वर, भावभङ्गी र लयात्मकताले वातावरणलाई अझै रोचक र प्रेरणादायी बनायो।

यस कार्यक्रमले विद्यार्थीहरूमा साहित्यप्रतिको अभिरुचि बढाउनुका साथै आत्मविश्वास र भाषण–कला विकासमा ठूलो टेवा पुगेको छ।
