Venue: Chingthang Junior High School.

The Group-3 Preliminary Extempore Speech Competition (English) for the Preparatory Stage (Classes III–V) was successfully conducted on 5th August, 2026 at Chingthang Junior High School.
The programme was organised by Chingthang Junior High School under the guidance of BEO Shri Kinzang Dorjee Bhutia, AD/Hee-Martam BAC with the objective of enhancing students' communication skills, confidence, critical thinking, and public speaking abilities.

The competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from the following Group-3 schools:

* PR Lama Yangsum Senior Secondary School
* PM Shri Najoor Berfok Junior High School
* Megyong Primary School
* Sagbari Primary School
* Chingthang Junior High School

The programme commenced with a welcome group song presented by the students of Chingthang Junior High School, followed by a warm welcome to all the dignitaries, es**rt teachers, participants, and guests. A melodious solo song was then performed by Miss Bridhya Limboo, adding charm to the occasion.

The programme was graced by the presence of the es**rt teachers from the participating schools, namely Mr. Simon S***a, Miss Phipung Hangma Limboo, Mr. Tshering Chopel Bhutia, Mr. Arpan Rai, and Mr. Yam Raj Biswakarma, along with the teachers and students of Chingthang Junior High School.

As a special highlight of the programme, Miss Bindhya Gurung of Chingthang Junior High School recited her self-composed poem, which was highly appreciated by the audience for its originality and inspiring message.

The competition was adjudged by Miss Sushmita Rai and Miss Passang Phuti Bhutia, who evaluated the participants on the basis of content, fluency, confidence, pronunciation, presentation, and overall communication skills.

The competition was conducted in two separate rounds, with eight participants competing in each round. The students displayed remarkable confidence, creativity, and effective communication throughout the event.

After careful evaluation, the following students secured First Position and were selected to represent Group-3 at the Hee Martam BAC Level Competition:
Miss Melina Sharma– PM Shri Najoor Berfok Junior High School
Mr. Ashyal Rai – Megyong Primary School.
The winners were congratulated for their outstanding performance. All participants were also presented with prizes in appreciation of their enthusiastic participation and commendable efforts.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks, expressing sincere gratitude to the judges, es**rt teachers, participating schools, teachers, students, and everyone who contributed to the successful organisation of the event. The competition provided an excellent platform for nurturing young speakers, promoting confidence, and strengthening communication skills among the students.

---REPORT ON INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION 2026 ACTIVITIES.--
(Essay Writing, Painting and Online Quiz Competition)

Report Date:15th July 2026.

The Ministry of Defence, Government of India, organised Essay Writing, Painting and Online Quiz Competitions, from 1st June to 15th July 2026 as part of the Independence Day Celebration 2026.

Government Junior High School, Chingthang actively participated in all the competitions with great enthusiasm. Students showcased their creativity, knowledge, and patriotic spirit through essay writing, painting, and the online quiz. Teachers guided and encouraged the students throughout the programme.

The activities were informative, inspiring, and enjoyable, helping students develop a deeper sense of patriotism and appreciation for the nation's rich heritage. Chingthang JHS sincerely appreciates the Ministry of Defence for organising such a meaningful initiative.
