On the occasion of International Dance Day, our school, Government Junior Secondary School Dentam Tar conducted an Inter-House Zumba Competition.

We were honored to have Ms. Anusha Hangma Limboo from PM Shri Government Senior Secondary School, Dentam, as our esteemed judge for the event.

Participants from Kaveri, Indus, Sutlej, and Damodar House showcased wonderful performances with great team spirit and coordination.
Objective of the Event:
i. To promote physical fitness, flexibility, and coordination among students through fun dance movements.
2. To encourage confidence and self-expression by allowing students to perform with energy and enthusiasm.
3. To create awareness about the importance of dance as a form of exercise and healthy living.
4.To celebrate International Dance Day by engaging students in joyful and meaningful physical activity.

Results:
1st Position – Sutlej House
2nd Position – Indus House
3rd Position – Damodar House
4th Position – Kaveri House

Significance of the Day: World Book and Copyright Day

Today, the students of Grade VIII, Batch Sagacious Squirrels, of Government Junior Secondary School, Dentam Tar, observed World Book and Copyright Day by presenting PowerPoint presentations on book reviews of various books they have been reading over the past few weeks.

Objectives:
1. Students will develop the ability to interpret and summarise the idea of the book
2. Students will develop habit of reading books.
3. Students will be habituate with public speaking.
4. Students will express their open ion with confidence.
5. Vocabulary and language skills will be strengthened.

Proud to see our little literature lover taking baby steps towards this voyage.

vi. To promote awareness and appreciation of traditional folk arts and culture.

vii. To build confidence and stage performance skills among students.

viii.To preserve and celebrate cultural heritage through music, dance, and drama.
