Onam is one of the most colourful harvest festivals in India. The day commemorates the return of King Mahabali to his kingdom annually.
It is celebrated in Kerala with floral arrangements called pookalams, Thiruvathira Kali and Vallamkali.
Other than this various colourful processions, folk performances, traditional feasts called sadhya and community gatherings are the main highlights of the culturally rich festival.

An intra-class tricolour food competition was held for Class I, with an aim to inculcate respect for the country and its diversity in the young minds.
The participants presented a variety of delicacies and briefed about nutritional values of their respective dishes, hence making it a productive competition.

• Muslim people are encouraged to engage in religious activities. The Islamic calendar is based on 12 lunar months, the sighting of a new moon determines the start of a new month.
• In 2023, Muharram commenced on Wednesday, 19th July 2023.
• The 10th day of Muharram known as Ashura is being observed today i.e., on July 29, 2023.

International Tiger Day is celebrated annually on July 29.
• The tiger enjoys the reputation of being the largest of the world’s big cats.
• A tiger can be easily identified with its distinctive orange and black stripes on its face and body.
• International Tiger Day is celebrated across the globe so that all of us can raise awareness for tiger conservation.
• The day aims to build a worldwide system that will be dedicated to protecting tigers and their natural habitats.
• A safe and thriving habitat for tigers means that we conserve other species and our forests, too.
• Through International Tiger Day we can work for a future where humans and tigers can cohabit peacefully.
