As part of the 16th World Edu Summit 2026, jointly organised by Vikrant University, Gwalior & MTC Global, a highly insightful Panel Discussion was organised on the theme:

“Reinventing Research Culture: From Publish or Perish to Purpose and Impact.”

Vikrant University, Gwalior, in association with MTC Global, hosted the 16th World Edu Summit – MTC Global’s 16th Annual Global Convention, the finest event of Asia since 2009, powered by ICFAI foundation for higher education, banglore.

The summit was organised around the theme “Reinventing Research Culture: From Publish or Perish to Purpose and Impact,” bringing together academicians, researchers, education professionals and industry leaders from India and abroad to deliberate on the evolving landscape of research and higher education.

The inaugural ceremony was graced by the esteemed presence of Shri Rakesh Singh Rathore, Hon. Chancellor, Vikrant University, Gwalior, as the Presidential Chair, and Barrister Shameem Haider Patwary, Chairman, Board of Trustees, Dhaka International University, Bangladesh, as the Chief Guest.

The ceremony also welcomed Prof. Dr. Muddu Vinay, Founding Pro Vice-Chancellor, ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education, Bangalore, and Dr. Alluri V.V. Prasada Raju, Chairman, Indian Institution of Industrial Engineering (IIIE), as the Guests of Honour.

The session also featured addresses by Prof. Bholanath Dutta, Founder & President, MTC Global, and Dr. Atul Kumar, Vice Chancellor, Vikrant University.

The Chief Guest highlighted the importance of international academic collaboration, knowledge exchange and stronger institutional partnerships, while the Guests of Honour emphasised strengthening research-oriented academic practices and connecting research with practical and societal needs. Shri Rakesh Singh Rathore underscored the importance of fostering a research culture that connects academic knowledge with innovation, institutional development and broader societal impact.

On the occasion of World Pharmacists Day 2026 , the School of Pharmacy , Vikrant University, Gwalior, in association with the Health Club , Vikrant University, Gwalior and Youth Red Cross Society Club , Vikrant University, Gwalior, successfully organized a Free Primary Health Check-up Camp at Village Hasan Pura , Ratwai Road, Gwalior.

đź‘Ą *Participation & Community Outreach*

• 90 students and 7 faculty members of the School of Pharmacy participated in the camp.
• A dedicated team of 25 students, along with 2 faculty members, conducted a door-to-door community outreach activity in the village.
• The team visited houses to create awareness about the health camp and encourage villagers to avail themselves of the free health check-up facilities.
• During these visits, the team also interacted with villagers and gathered information regarding their general health concerns and health-related problems, thereby helping to understand the healthcare needs of the local community.

👨‍⚕️ Community Beneficiaries: More than 100 villagers availed themselves of the free primary health screening services.
