Ever wondered why your pink oyster mushrooms turn beige after cooking? 🍄💗➡️🤎
It's not because they're spoiled—it's pure science!
When pink oyster mushrooms are exposed to heat and oxygen, the natural pigments responsible for their vibrant color begin to break down. As a result, the mushrooms change from beautiful pink to a soft beige.
✨ The best part? The color changes, but the mushroom remains just as safe, delicious, and nutritious.
Swipe through to discover the science behind this fascinating transformation and impress your fellow mushroom lovers!

Two very different natural compounds are now part of the same scientific conversation. Psiløcyb!n interacts with serotonin receptors known as 5-HT2A, while Hericium erinaceus works through Nerve Growth Factor pathways. Different biological routes, yet both are being studied for their role in neuroplasticity, the brain’s ability to reorganize and adapt.

According to researchers, clinical data is still evolving. COMPASS Pathways Phase 3 trials (COMP005 and COMP006) reported statistically significant changes in depression rating scales, drawing global academic attention. At the same time, human trials on Lion’s Mane show mixed outcomes. Some studies report measurable cognitive improvement, while others show limited or no effect, especially in larger sample sizes.

Researchers at Harvard University and other institutions emphasize that sample sizes remain small and findings are still under scientific review. The evidence suggests potential, but not certainty.

This is not about promotion, but understanding how different biological mechanisms may influence brain adaptability through separate yet converging pathways.

Nature always has a way of surprising you when you least expect it. Found this beautiful, healthy specimen tucked away by a tree trunk during my morning walk today. Proof that if you slow down and look closely, there’s a whole world growing right under our feet. 🍄✨

There is nothing like a morning walk discovery to start the day right. 🌲 Spotted this incredibly healthy mushroom thriving right against a tree trunk today.
As someone who loves nature photography and mycology, finding a specimen this perfect in the wild is a total win. It’s a great reminder of the hidden beauty in our local ecosystems.
Should I go back and check on its growth tomorrow? Let me know in the comments! 👇

What if the most advanced system on Earth… is something we rarely notice?
Fungi.
They have been here for over a billion years—long before plants, animals, or complex ecosystems existed. In many ways, they helped build the world we live in today.
Beneath our feet, mycelial networks connect entire forests—transferring nutrients, redistributing resources, and even enabling biochemical signaling between plants. This “wood wide web” is not just poetic—it is a functional, biological network driving ecosystem stability.
Their resilience goes even further. Certain fungi can survive freezing conditions, entering a state of suspended activity and returning to life when conditions improve. A remarkable adaptation that reflects deep evolutionary intelligence.
And now, we are beginning to see their potential beyond Earth.
Fungi can grow in microgravity, require minimal inputs, and efficiently convert organic matter into nutrient-dense biomass—making them strong candidates for future closed-loop life support systems in space.
From ancient Earth to future space missions, fungi represent one of the most efficient and adaptable biological systems we know.
The more we study them, the more they challenge how we think about food, ecosystems, and sustainability.

Fungi demonstrate remarkable adaptability under extreme conditions, including microgravity.
Studies conducted aboard the International Space Station (ISS) show that certain mushroom species can grow efficiently with minimal inputs—utilizing organic substrates, low water, and limited space.
Their metabolic efficiency, waste-to-biomass conversion, and resilience position them as a promising candidate for closed-loop life support systems in long-duration space missions.
Mushrooms are not just food—they are a biological system engineered by nature for sustainability.

Freedom gave us a nation.
Values gave us a Republic. 🇮🇳✨
And today, we choose to give back—
through soil-friendly innovation, farmer-first growth, and nature-powered nutrition. 🍄🌿
Because building India isn’t only about buildings…
it’s also about what we grow.
Happy Republic Day! 🇮🇳
