The Indian Men's National Football team defeated the higher ranked Lebanon in the Hero Intercontinental Cup 2023 Final with a classic 2-0 win to climb up the FIFA Men's rankings to 98th place. The performance on the pitch is a true reflection of the rapid growth of Indian Football and how the national team has evolved with the inclusion of talented players who have had an excellent domestic season in the Hero ISL or I-League.

He is a member of the Social and Educational Research Group on Physical Activity and Sport (GISEAFE).
