Tonight, we take pride in introducing the face behind this year's edition of RGSMUN.
Co-founder and Director General of one of the first conferences in Upper Assam, SMMSMUN 2017, he has made his mark across various conferences while also creating a name for himself in other public speaking forums. Bearing the title of the East Zone Best Debater Award, he has ranked 23rd in the Team India Selections for World Schools Debating Championship 2017. Adjudged as the Most Promising Speaker in the East India Debates 2018, he was a member of the team winning the Best Delegation in the UN Headquarters.
A gifted cricketer and swimmer, he is the brains behind the conference and has given it shape through his tireless efforts. Charismatic and driven, his crystal clear thoughts and ideas have made him largely respected and looked up to.

With pride, we introduce as Secretary General of RGSMUN 2019, Aaswash Mahanta!

Ananya Khaund has been a part of this circuit since 4 years and till date, she has served as the Director General of the last year's edition as well, while also serving as the Secretary General of the intra edition of RGSMUN 2019.

One of the most gifted and crisp orators in the circuit, this person has set benchmarks in the MUNning circuit in Assam. Ardently pursuing her love for public speaking since class 7, she has received accolades way beyond anyone for her age. The Deputy Head of Activities of Royal Global School has been the backbone of a plethora of events in School, while also serving as the Editor In Chief of the School Yearly Magazine, Scriptoria. She embraces her inner old soul by expressing her love for Mythology time to time.
She has made her mark as a jewelled writer as well, grabbing the Katha Nationals Grand Prize, while also being a member of the winning team of the World's Scholars Cup.
With immense elation, we introduce to you the Director General of RGSMUN 2019, Ananya Khaund!

An overachiever in the truest sense, Aman Bhuyan is a highly driven individual who has contributed a lot to the institution and the conference.

The Head Boy of the institution with a lively personality, he is a gold level participant in the International Award for Young People (IAYP). He is a photographer extraordinaire and has numerous accolades to his name - he has been adjudged the 'Best Photographer' in various conferences, has worked on 2 music videos and a winning International short film, has been a vital part of greatly appreciated events like TEDxBetkuchi'18, Consensio'19, and KARD'19, and has been part of the Organising Committee of RGSMUN'17 and RGSMUN'18 as the Deputy Head of IT. Besides that, he also holds a deep interest in playing the ukulele and the guitar and has completed grade III in the latter from the Trinity Guidehall.

With just a few days left for the conference, we would like to introduce you to the Chief Guest, the Former Director General of India's Premier Media Training Institute, Indian Institute of Mass Communications, Senior Journalist, Columnist & Communication Strategist Professor K.G Suresh! He was the Senior Consulting Editor with Doordarshan News, India's Public News Broadcaster, Editorial Consultant with Asianet News Network; Chief Political Correspondent with Press Trust of India and Group Media Advisor to Dalmia Bharat Enterprises Limited.
Professor Suresh is a Member of the Academic Council and Internal Quality Assurance Cell of the prestigious Jawaharlal Nehru University New Delhi.
Serving PTI in different capacities for over a decade including as Chief Crime Reporter, Deputy Chief Reporter, Special Correspondent and Chief Political Correspondent, Professor Suresh has travelled across India and the world to cover developments including the Royal Palace Massage in Nepal, Advani's controversial visit to Pakistan, the post Taliban situation in Afghanistan among others.
A TEDx speaker, he has also completed the Journalism Experiential Course at the University of Oxford, United Kingdom.

Aariya Thomoung is not your average introvert, although his personality fits the bill.
A firm advocate of LGBTQ+ rights, and the need to spread awareness about mental health; he has carved a niche for himself in the public speaking arena of the city.
The proud recipient of two diplomas in French, he is adept at 6 languages, while also holding a state rank in the former. An astrology enthusiast, he has dabbled in the fields of theatre and music, and has received recognition for the same.

Thoroughly dedicated to his post, it gives us great joy to introduce as Head of Public Relations and Delegate Affairs, Aariya Thoumoung!

Tanya Phulwani, is someone who is jovial to the core and is always ready to help people out.

A grade 10 student, she is a dancer who has performed at various events. A feminist and animal lover, her timid exterior can easily fool people as her words and ideas take shape to make the best of things. Although she might come off as shy at first, she is very approachable, and makes for one of the most dynamic individuals in the school. Fierce and bold when the situation requires it, her efficiency makes her an ideal member of the Organising Committee.

Introducing to you the Deputy Head of Logistics, Tanya Phulwani!

Aditya Rathi is one of the most amiable and zealous individuals in the Organising Committee and the institution.

An ardent bibliophile and Potterhead, he has a knack for musical instruments and theoretical physics. A commendable public speaker who has done various debates, declamations and MUNs, he also holds an interest for dancing and acting. Besides that, he's a fervent artist who can draw in several artforms like sketch, graphite, charcoal, color pencils, watercolors, pointillism, acrylic, pen and ink, and doodles, to name a few.

With that, introducing to you the Deputy Head of Public Relations & Delegate Affairs, Aditya Rathi!

Witty and compassionate, Vishal Pareek happens to have an innate capacity to lighten even the most dire of situations and tackle obstacles head-on.

Friendly and outgoing, his extroverted nature has never failed to make one feel welcome as they take on newer surroundings. Having been a part of quite a few MUNs in the city, he has a penchant for Indian committees and has secured awards in many of them as well.
Efficient and hardworking, it is rare to find people as dedicated as him.

Hence, we introduce as Joint Head of Hospitality and Management, Vishal Pareek!

The member of the Organising Committee who we are introducing tonight is one of the most revered and gifted individuals that one has the opportunity to meet.

Captain of the school's football team, and the Head of Sports in the Students' Council for the session 2019-20; Bonoto is also an adept guitarist with quite a few laurels to his name.
Extremely humble and down to earth, his quiet yet observant demeanor has never failed to provide an insight into matters that others might overlook. Helpful and understanding, he manages to stand out from the rest, and has proved to be an asset to the team.
