A health awareness talk on "Gynecological Health Awareness for the Youth" was organized by Institute of Human Reproduction, Bharalumukh, Guwahati and NCC, NSS, Yuva Tourism Club, R.G. Baruah College with support from IQAC, R.G. Baruah College on 13 October 2025. The Principal of the college Dr Pranjit Kumar Nath welcomed the guests and students hoping for a fruitful session. The programme host was Mr Pranjit Kar, Marketing Head, IHR. Dr Rangam Rajkhowa, Medical Superintendent, IHR was also present in the programme. The occasion was graced by speaker Dr. Saurav Maheshwari, MBBS, MS (O & G), Infertility and IVF Specialist, Laparoscopic Surgeon. He discussed about Gynecological Health and Hygiene. Issues pertaining reproduction, urine infection, gynecological diseases, hormonal changes with menopause, vaccination for diseases like HPV, etc. were discussed. The talk was followed by a Q&A session in which the students and professors of the college put forth their questions related to gynecological issues to the speaker Dr Maheshwari. The NCC Care Taker Officer and Yuva Tourism Club Faculty-in-charge Ms Tania Tarannam and NSS Programme Officer Mr Samir Roy, both from R.G. Baruah College were present in the programme. The vote of thanks was given by Ms Tania Tarannam.
