We at Modern Crèche and Preschool under the aegis of Sishu Bikash Kendra are deeply heartbroken by this unimaginable tragedy. Little Tomthin Oinam, the eldest of the two children, was a cherished part of our crèche and preschool family, spending precious moments of joy and learning with us. It is profoundly painful to comprehend that such innocent lives have been taken away so cruelly.

The 6th April 2026 violence in Manipur once again reminds us that children and women are often the most vulnerable and the worst affected in such conflicts. We strongly and unequivocally condemn all forms of violence—no cause can ever justify the loss of innocent lives or the devastation of families.

As educators and caregivers, we firmly stand for peace, stability, and the restoration of law and order—values that are essential to protect our children and build a secure future for all.

As a school and as a family, we share in this profound grief and stand in unwavering solidarity with the parents—Ms. Pheiroijam Binitā Devi (mother), Mangalngamba Oinam (father) and the family. Our thoughts and prayers are with them and their family, and we pray they find strength in these darkest hours. 💔
