A Special Lecture on the theme “Disability and Sports Law” was successfully held on 04 May 2026 at the National Law University and Judicial Academy, Assam (NLUJA). The lecture was organized by the Centre for Disability Studies and Health Laws, NLUJA, Assam, as part of its ongoing efforts to promote inclusive legal discourse and awareness on emerging areas of law.
The session was delivered by Ms. Kajri Roy, an International Sports Lawyer, who shared her expertise on the intersection of disability rights and sports law. She highlighted key legal frameworks, challenges faced by athletes with disabilities, and the evolving global standards aimed at ensuring inclusivity and equal opportunities in sports.
The lecture witnessed active participation from students, faculty members, and researchers, leading to an engaging and insightful discussion on the subject. The event concluded with an interactive session, where participants had the opportunity to seek clarifications and exchange ideas with the speaker.

The LL.M. in Corporate Law and Management, a two-year fully residential programme, was formally launched on 24th March 2026 at Kartavya Bhawan–I, New Delhi by Ms. Deepti Gaur Mukerjee, Secretary, Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India.
This unique programme is a collaborative initiative between the Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA) and the National Law University and Judicial Academy, Assam, aimed at developing future leaders in corporate law and governance.
The launch ceremony was graced by esteemed dignitaries including Shri Gyaneshwar Kumar Singh, Director General & CEO, IICA; Prof. K. V. S. Sarma, Vice Chancellor, NLUJAA; Shri Shantanu Mitra, Senior Economic Advisor, MCA; Shri Shekhar Srivastava, Deputy Secretary, MCA; Shri Gunajit Roy Choudhury, Registrar, NLUJAA; Col.
